how can you say such a thing! after all our mascot was a pirate. have some pride. lol. i'm excited for the talk like a pirate day (even though i find it extremely hard to actually do it for a long period of time let alone type like it) ...ar...
You have just described the college experience... well at least your second paragraph does. Change Chicago to (insert city name here) and you got it. Also get rid of Halpern-Givens's.
Q: Do you go to church? A: Funny story there. I don't really feel like I've had any meaningful worship at cons in the past twoish years or so (meaningful to me, I can't speak for other people's experiences. And that is sortof a lie, there was one at camp in Lake Geneva this summer that was A+). But point being, I like cons for community, and have really been hoping to catch some spirituality at church, at 2U in Chicago, which is just a quick train ride away and has an active YA group... But every Sunday morning when I think I'm going to go to church, I end up waking up about noon in my friend's bed after staying up until way too late watching Dog: The Bounty Hunter, or something like that.
So quick answer- I keep meaning to, but haven't yet.
yeah, I know. And I'm looking forward to the next time you come... but I need someone who's here on weekdays and weekends when you're not down... I can't just hope the Halpern-Givens's will keep putting up with me every weekend, I don't know. They are nice and amazing, but I feel like I should be making new friends, I just don't know how? Maybe our new roomie will be cool? Supposedly she's moving in on Saturday, but we still don't have her furniture and Kandis is PISSED, so I don't know.
As far as pirates go, I was on the path to recovery- able to take them in small doses... but throwing them in face all over is no good. Also, if I'm going down there, I'm taking you down with me! And Chris! And everyone else!
