Was the movie good? My favorite comment so far has been from a facebook friend: Kristin Stewart more fair than Charlize Theron? Sounds like a broken mirror.
It was kind of a mishmash of motifs, but I liked it. Charlize Theron was great and I would have loved more about her character, and after Thor and The Avengers I find myself with a deep and abiding affection for Chris Hemsworth (though his on-again off-again Irish accent was nearly as distracting as his... assets *g*). Kristen Stewart wasn't bad - she's pretty enough, she just doesn't generate any enthusiasm in me at all (she really does seem to have only one expression, which is unfortunate, because there seems to be talent lurking beneath the surface).
Anyway, I say it's worth seeing. And then we can engage in ship wars over Snow/William vs. Snow/Huntsman. :-)
you do realize it was based on a book right? (which i nicked fro mthe net but what does that matter. or perhaps it's a movie novelisation?) mostly the plot jsut said 'fractured fairy tale!' adn iwent yay and snapped m yfingers on it.
I don't know anything about a book, but it's closer to the version of the fairy tale I grew up with (and preferred) than the Disney version. (Although in the story I remember, the huntsman kills a deer and uses its heart as a substitute for Snow White's to take to the queen as proof of her death.)
oh snap! that huntsman was cannon. i knew i'd forgotten something...there is a bok though honest. by a ugh....somethigsomething. it's the weird thigns i find sometimes. liek the mash novelisation where I thought 'bzuh? they made that into a book? cool!"
