Video: What would you do if you saw gay parents berated by a waitress?

That's actually surprising to me - in a good way.

I know what I would do in a situation like that. But I'm afraid I'd be in a minority. I think too many people would have a mindset like the people at the end of the video - It's none of my business! And they are right, it isn't. But you can make it your business, if you want to ( Read more... )

I saw the original broadcast that they did in NY and was completely surprised that so few ppl defended them, so again, surprised that in a much less liberal and accepting State like Texas to see MORE ppl defend them - does make one think. That guy that wrote them a note was obviously a Christian and THAT is really how Christians should act. I wish more Christians were like him.

Yeah, ngl, it really surprised me to see that in Texas of all places. I didn't expect that. And I think these Christians are really doing what their religion says. Although, I don't need to be Christian to be able to see the wrong in the waitress' doing. But if their religious beliefes make people act like that one guy did, then religion does something good.

Yeah, even I have to admit I was surprised about that. And yes these Christians are doing exactly what Christians should be doing. I was taught love and acceptance NOT HATE. So when I see Christians hating it infuriates me and makes me sad all at the same time because that is NOT what it is about.

How that one guy acted is how ALL Christians should act.

Oh wow, this was really touching! Thanks for posting it, I've watched some of their other social experiments with gay couples, always interesting to see how people react. And really touching when you realize that there are people who stand up against discrimination. :)

It was really surprising to me that the people were argueing with their Christian beliefes when they stood up against the homophobic waitress. I mean, that's how it should be, that's basically what the religion is about - loving your neighboor, not being judgmental etc. It's a shame, that their are so many people that misuse the religion to spew their hate.

Thanks for posting! I was crying. And I didn't know that in Texas they can refuse to serve gay. It's horrible!! But on the other hand it's really great to see how many ppl stand up for the families. Especially the guy with the note. So touching.

Thank you!
