I'm trying to figure out what's different about Pokemon Pearl and I realized that this is pretty much the same exact game I've been playing for 8 years, just with different (but not by much lol) graphics. Pokemon is great and all but it's just the same game over and over again, with progressively weirder looking Pokemon with each coming generation ( Read more... )

The same could be said about any RPG....Fight, Item, Magic(or some other nonsense) RUN!

I opened it up and cleared some of the dust out of the inside, and it seems to be OK now, it just skips a bit *shrug*. If it breaks again, I'll just get a new one, since they're $50 to fix.

that is EXACTLY how the pokemon games are!
and the new ones get more complicated
what happened to the days of pikachu, Ash, Brock and Misty!

X-Play reviewed it. They said basically the same thing. XD

It's just the same game with very few new elements. They're just making more to keep the new generation of kids interested. I would probably get it if I had a DS though. D:

At least it has Wifi, so you can attempt to trade your Bidoof for that Palkia your gonna need, I've seen plenty of offers like that, so I'm sure it cant be too hard.....

Lol @ Bidoof. The Pokemon are so weird, I feel like they're all lab experiments gone horribly awry.

I still like the Turtwig and it's evolutions. But it's the closest I'll get to having a ankliosaur on my roster. I'm a whore for prehistoric looking pokemon right now.

Wait til the next generation, when they'll surely butcher off the last of the 1st generation pokemon who have yet to evolve (pre or post evolutions). Far'fetched, what will they do to you?

XD Yeah, the only thing else that's different is the character's names and the gym names and the contests as well as some other stuff. XD But you're right, it's still interesting.

As long as I can still fish for Magikarp and level them to Gyarados, and have my Pikachus, I am happy, lol.
