YAH. I did try to call you but I'm QUITE sure I was too early for you with the time difference - I was so stoked I had to share. :D Awesome, right? I put an ad on Craigslist! And someone responded, a volunteer in the shelter - he's an expensive boy, I'll tell you what, but oh! It's so worth it to have him home. Now for the microchip. Dammit.
girl! i didn't go to bed until 6:30 this morning, which is 8:30 your time, i didn't hear my cell! damnit!!! i wish i had so i could share in your joy!!
okay, so tell me the story, Browns ended up in the shelter? was he kidnapped and then left at the shelter? oh god yeah! get him microchipped, when i adopted Louie from the shelter, they microchipped before he even left the building..
Well that would for SURE explain the no answer! Glad I didn't wake you then. I think it went something like that - he was found on a highway many miles from the house, with ANOTHER dog who had been hit. Either he got away from them - or they dumped him off when they found him not to their liking - and he was trying to find his way home. But he's a nurturer, so he was probably trying to stay with the other dog to make sure she was okay. Any idea of the cost of microchipping? So I have a ballpark on what I'm up against? We're getting one of those large dog gates and never letting him out except to go potty from now on. Which pisses me off because that's why I MOVED TO THE FUCKING COUNTRY. So my animals could be more free and not - well - citified. /rant.
I didn't know you were missing a pet? (did I read all this right?) I bet you're so glad to have him (?) home *lol* I fail with knowledge today. But if you're happy I'm happy! Give him some love from me :D
Oh - well, Brownie's brother Yogi went missing - kidnapped, we think, about a month ago? I'd have to look it up, I posted about it a while back. And then Brownie got missing on Thursday. Animal Control picked him up on FRIDAY out on a highway, several miles away from our house. Ever since his brother went missing, Brownie is sooo super cautious about where he goes - mostly he stays as close to the borders of the house as he can, when we've set him out. This is not just my own knowledge, but my landlady and another neighbor tell me this too - and the neighbor lady comes by almost every day - Brownie and her dog are "playmates". Anyway, our obvious conclusion is that someone tried to steal him too, and he got away, or was dumped. All of which makes me furious. And that's a brief overview of the whole thing! Thanks - yeah, we're basically ecstatic.
