I extend my greetings to the good people of this place. I have called myself Amber. I arrived some three weeks ago, thus it seemed high time to make my presence known ( Read more... )

Hmm, I've heard of an urge to nap in the sun, but nothing like that before... it's really odd.

Yet people have written of various problems related to sleeping. Is this a common occurrence, if I may, good ser?

Yeah, for the past week, it's been affecting everyone. We've all either been unable to sleep long or have been sleeping at inopportune times, seems like...

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Bridge~ ♥

I see. Then perhaps sunlight is simply one more factor.

I'm pleased to meet you, [small pause] Bridge~ ♥.

Hi Amber, I'm Nova! I'm with the Adventurers but I'm not the leader. It's a lot of fun, but you ought to know how to protect yourself, just in case, so weapon skills or magic come in handy.

I don't think the light here makes people sleepy. I've been out in the sun tons of times and never felt tired. Maybe it's just a temporary thing.

Thank you, dear. Weapon skills or what else? There seems to be an ink spill over what you've written. I was rather considering the Records Division, though. It's mentioned they could use the services of scribes.

A temporary thing?

Magic? Special powers or abilities. Spells. That kind of thing. But they always need help in Records, there seem to be fewer people there than in Recon or Armed response.

Yeah, temporary. Weird things happen here in the sphere, but they usually only last one or two weeks, at most.

You've written something, and it again appears as a ink stain. That is strange.

Who should I see about that, then? There were three captains mentioned, I believe.

One or two weeks? Do tell.

Curse you, you're making my Varric muse grin like a smarmy thing. moe_rapier April 26 2011, 01:44:35 UTC
It's nice to meet you, Amber. Miss Nova is correct in seeking Captain Target.

I'm ready to be able to sleep, myself.

I'm sorry I can't picture that as a bad thing. X) magical_bosom April 26 2011, 21:33:47 UTC
I will do so at the first opportunity, then. And you would be?

I am sorry to hear you've been so affected.

Hello, Amber! I'm Krile. It's nice to meet you--well, write to you.

Sounds like the Sphere has made you a fan of catnaps.

That seems to be the more precise description, but I'm pleased to meet you, Krile.

I can't deny it might be pleasant, but not so convenient when one has things one should be doing.

True, but like Nova says, it never seems to last long. I'm sure you'll be feeling like your norm well, less tired in a few days.

What strange things might one expect to follow? Is there a way to predict them?

I extend a welcome back to you, Amber. It seems many have been having difficulty with staying awake, but I am not sure if it is connected with the sun.

Thank you, good stranger. May I have your name?

It appears there are many variations of this affliction. I have never heard of such a thing as light being a soporific, but it does seem this place challenges many things I take to be true.

I am Mona Lisa.

I believe cats find warm and sunny spots to be calming and sleep-inducing. There is one here already who has features similar to a feline; would you be a second?

By all that I can observe, that's certainly not the case! I believe I'll see if it passes, as others have suggested.

The inhabitants of this place seem more peculiar by the moment. You would mean a person in the guise of a cat?
