So it was getting to be pretty late that Sunday night, later than I'd prefer, what with fourteen-hour workdays beginning the very next day. I really should've been in bed at eleven by the latest. I don't remember what kept me up until eleven-thirty* but I do remember what kept me up until midnight

I've seen older episodes of the JLU with mixed feelings. The writers try their best. It's just so odd to see the interactions between the various characters in the face of the various villians.

The reps from Cartoon Network ran an hour of video from the latest season final episode and a good bit from the premere episode of the new season. It's about time they brought up The Legion of Doom without the curse of the old Superfriends series. Those mascot teen characters made the classic Superfriends so, so, so...

Damn, I can't bring myself to say 'cute' in the same paragraph. Between the poor writing and those token teen characters and their pet dog, trying to watch Superfriends is painful. It's that bad.

I note Superman has time to save lives, head up an international leage of fifty-something superheroes, work as Clark Kent for the Daily Planet and presumably get some sleep in there.

Does he have his own time machine or something?

This is why we all like the Batman. He doesn't really go out of his way to help the JLU --they have to drag him in and -usually- that doesn't work. But for the most part, he's not in half of the JLU episodes --just usually the ones where the JLU itself --or he himself-- is under attack.

Plus, he's Superman.

OMG I love JLU. I loved Superfriends, too, but gimme a break, I was six. But I have long harboured a soft spot for Batman -- and more specifically, Robin -- so anything with him in it is good with me. And Batman Beyond... GOD I WISH THAT WAS BACK ON. If it ever is, I'd like to know. I'd love to see it again. I miss it. ;_;

I must see those episodes. Yes.
