I'm not a writer, just a reader and wanted to be clear about the rules. If so, is it allowable for me to say that I am above the age of consent in my state/country, rather than to post my full birthdate?

If you are over the age of consent in your country, you are welcome to watch the community. :-) Only member requests need to provide an age statement.
