wow i like. it's unusaul, both in pairing and subject. but it's a little contradictive and confusing because how can he think her pretty - then ugly? it makes me feel uncertain to how he feels about her. yet that's a good thing about it too, the uncertainty of their relationship, the unspoken words and hidden feelings between them, all topped by the inevitabilty of (her) death.
the third sentence sums up perfectly how i felt when i first found she wasn't a 9his second) innocence but actually another (dead) exorcist. I was horrified.
but i like your story because it provides a bit of history to faceless woman and it clarifies my theory that Cross must have had something with her to be using her dead body now. I;m glad yhey called it "Grave Of Maria" rather than "Corpse of Maria" because it sounds less morbid and kind of goes along with this story.
