More analysis of D&D 4E (encounter & dailies)

After going through the at-will powers of the different classes and found some things that weren't that surprising, I figured I'd check and see if the encounter and daily powers would balance out the classes that were getting nailed...

Controllers
The wizard finally gets her due, winning in damage for both dailies and encounters.
The invoker has the 2nd best encounter and the worst daily damage.
The druid has the worst encounter damage for controllers and has the 2nd best daily damage.

Best damage dealer controller: Wizard, hands down.

Defender
Paladin is still tweaked out with the best daily and encounter damage.
Fighter has the 2nd best encounter and 3rd best daily damage.
Warden has the 3rd best encounter and worst daily damage.
Swordmage has the worst encounter damage and 2nd best daily damage.

Best damage dealer defender: Paladin... it's like the staff of WotC work for Blizzard.

Leader
Warlord has the best encounter damage and 2nd best daily damage.
Shaman has the 2nd best encounter damage and best daily damage.
Cleric has the 3rd best encounter damage and the 3rd best daily damage.
The bard blows chunks at last in both encounter and daily damage. Take that bard!

Best damage dealer leader: Shaman, just because they also have okay damage in at-wills.

Striker
Barbarians have the best encounter damage by far, but the 5th best daily damage.
Rangers have the 2nd best encounter damage and the 2nd best daily damage.
Rogue has the 3rd best encounter damage and the 3rd best daily damage.
Warlock has the 4th best encounter damage and the 4th best daily damage.
Avenger has the 5th best encounter damage and the worst daily damage... this is balanced since they almost always hit so they have consistent damage.
Sorcerers have the worst encounter damage and BY FAR the best daily damage, due in large part to "Lightning Breath", which is just obscene.

Best damage dealer striker: Ranger for consistency.

So the old PHB classes clean up in encounters and dailies, the shaman being the only new class that comes close and that was a toss-up between them and warlord.

Take that, power creep!
