This is a BRILLIANT beginning! It reads exactly like pro fic! And your Sherlock, if less messed-up than fanon would have him, is certainly recognisable from the series!

Sherlock has some serious issues with Lockton, as you may have seen in The Burning Question (or you may not have :). As for being messed-up he's doing drugs at age 16-17 and about to ruin his career as a solo violinist with cocaine. I think that's utterly tragic, myself.
