I had no magic at home, but I can lift a feather just fine. [He can lift a lot of other things too. For the first time in ages, Akito doesn't feel entirely weak and useless.]

Is this 'wild card' easy to incapacitate in case of emergencies, or is it more of a non-hostile one?

((ooc: since it has audio, here's a voice reference if you'd like one. feel free to ignore!))

It's fairly easy to incapacitate. I'm sure he'll scream if you touch him on the shoulder.

[she can't help but smirk at the comment on lifting a feather ]

Then someone is competent, it seems.

Oh, that's... [Actually, that sounds kind of annoying.] He won't be screaming too much, will he?

Lifting a feather is competent?

He's noisy. I wouldn't deny the possibility.
[ she smirks slightly ]
If you can at least perform one spell. Or are you referring to phsyically lifting a feather?

He would be good practice for the Silencing Charm, then.

[He pauses for a moment, then finds himself amused.]

No, but I could probably do that too! Using the spell is easier though, since I wouldn't have to get up to get it.

If most people here can't perform more than one spell though, this Dumbledore person picked the wrong people to try and make into his soldiers.

So can I count on you to do it if I'm not around? [ just a big smirk here. ]

Whatever is most convenient, is what I think. [her eyes narrow, sighing as she chews on another slice, midway this time. ]
Ah, always war. It's so redundant, I was getting used to the idea of a peaceful world.

If he's loud and distracting I would have to do it, otherwise I wouldn't be able to study. [Already making excuses. :B]

I was busy fighting my own war. I'm not about to be someone's tool for another.

Are you in Ravenclaw too?
[ a light nod ]

They can attempt. I'm not interested.

No, I'm in Hufflepuff.

If it will get me more answers I might pretend, but otherwise I'm just going to try and have fun while looking for a way home.

You sound clever enough, according to that Hat's "standards".

[ a snort ]
That's a wiser decision.

You could say that's only because I'm hardworking, which is a trait of Hufflepuffs, ne? The yellow looks better on me than the blue would, too.

It's a waste of time to fight before you know what you're fighting against. My friends are okay at home without me, for now, so I can be patient.

I admit I like yellow, but then I'd have to work hard.
[a curious blink]
What sort of war?

I don't think anyone has to be anything for their 'houses', except themselves.

A complicated one. [He tries to figure out how one would explain it...] It's more of an 'underground' sort of war - it doesn't affect everyone in the short-term, but in the long term it would be very bad if we lost.

Well that Hat made a big mistake then.
[ she smiles wryly]
I'm familiar with complicated. Underground wars can be deadly.

Maybe! I wasn't placed in Hufflepuff because of a Hat though. I just woke up there... [Unless he was Sorted while he was unconscious, which is kind of a discomfiting idea.]

All wars are deadly.

..Unconsciously? That is strange.

[ her voice grows somber ]
So they are.
