i'm commenting to let you know that you're not just rambling into the ether... but also to say that it's hard to meet people, especially when you live outside of a city, in a college town where most people are older or younger than you.
because i've had so many wonderful gay male friends in my life, i can promise you and mean it when i say that there are other smart, sweet, men with biting senses of humor like you out there who aren't into the bar scene and right now wondering where they can meet a nice boy they can talk about TV shows and theory with and take home to mom. I know it sounds cliche, but try to find some guys online to just get friendly with and then see what happens.
Thanks, Becca. I think getting out of the Cleve should help as well. Although I like the city overall, I think it is a bit of a mismatch in terms of what I want/need out of life. Not that Syracuse is going to be much of a step up, but my program's unofficial slogan is "It's just a year."
