The setting: driving up I-5 from LA to Woodland in a 1978 Ford F-150, with no air conditioning or really any ventilation system to speak of (unless you count the holes in the floorboard and door panel). An AM stereo that doesn't work, a speedometer that doesn't work, and as you will soon find out, a fuel gage that doesn't work. The sun is beating

that's some funny stuff...and sometimes you need to not be on the road, smoking a joint and driving without a speedometer, while an ambitious cop is close by. good times
