I am so relieved you got the sleep study done! I think once you get used to the mask and machine, that you'll find you'll sleep much more deeply and feel more revived in the morning. It took a while for me to get used to the mouth appliance I wear, and now I can't sleep without it. *hugs*

So, so sorry about your neighbor. And not just about her death but all the drama. It's horrible that any family members have to go through all that but especially a kid.

Good luck with the job and the patio job. HeadBoy would say, 'Use the Primitive Tool to pack the dirt.' Primitive Tool = something very heavy to pound the dirt.

I'm not saying anything about Headboy's Primitive Tool. Especially not after you've been asking what to do with a 14" zucchini. :D

We are planning to rent a plate compactor, though. Everyone is advising us that it makes sense to pay the rent and have a long-lasting and level patio.

I will stick with CPAP even though it's difficult right now because I got kinda scared at how severe my numbers were. Plus, research says I might lose weight.

Oh, and thanks for mailing my camera case. You rock!

Hee! You've got it covered with the plate compactor. The Primitive Tool is a large piece of oak with handles on it. He and his dad, cheapest bastards on earth, would never rent a plate compactor.

I wish I could get enough sleep to loose weight. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

ahh. Hopefully when you get used to the machine you'll sleep better. I got tested but stopping breathing isn't my problem with sleeping unless I'm on my back without my roll pillow.
I just don't ever get to stage 4 sleep I think it is. I wake before then.
Melatonin is helping though. Shame I can't buy it in this country but we have plenty to last us months thanks to a friend in the US sending us some.

Glad you'll get some more time to yourself soon.

I never got to stage 4 sleep, either, because I stopped breathing something like 40 times an hour, so I would wake up to breathe. Apparently the CPAP fixes that.

My hubby suffers from insomnia, particularly in the summer, and he swears by melatonin. I'm happy to send you more when you run out.

HALLO!!!!!

I need to get hubby on that contraption, cause it's it's getting to the point where I can hear him from the first floor. O_o. He won't do anything about it, so I guess I'll be continuing to sleep on the air mattress as needed. /tmi Glad to hear it's helpiing somewhat.

Sorry to hear about your friend, and all the drama. It seems that when people should be bonding together, some families choose to alienate themselves by selfish behavior. I feel bad for her daughter, and I hope she gets through this ok.

And I Second you on the school thing. I love my kids but please go away now. :D

Patio=JEALOUS. (except, not jealous to do the work)

*hugs*

If your hubby does have sleep apnea, he really should get tested for his own long term health, and not just for the snoring. There are an awful lot of bad things associated with sleep apnea.

I'm really excited to be done with the patio, although it's clear that we also need to be doing other things with our landscaping. I sense major scope creep.
