Current Characters at Luceti:N/A

Character
Name: Lindsay D. Ballard
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Wing Color: Dark red-brown, like the color of Thylos's fur
Physical Appearance (Here you can either link us to a picture or provide descriptive text): Lindsay and Thylos

Since it's uncolored, I'll also do descriptive text: Lindsay stands about 4'11" and weighs around 105 lbs with a little bit of growing left to do. Her skin is naturally pale, but slightly tanned from her time spent in Otherworld. She has dirty blonde hair that falls in loose waves down to a little below her shoulders. She has brown eyes. There are some battle scars - mostly cuts and whatnot - from her time in otherworld, but all are minor.

Thankfully I have paid trial so I can do this. magiconcehad August 25 2011, 03:56:18 UTC
HistoryLindsay was born in a small town to an ordinary family, youngest daughter of Melissa and Jonathan Ballard. She also had an older sister, Cassidy. Most of her life was relatively ordinary, if a bit sheltered. Her parents were loving and caring, and her older sister maybe a bit overprotective ( ... )

On their way back to the capital, Tristain tutored those - including Lindsay - who had been gifted magic or healing, being an accomplished mage himself. It was under Tristain's guidance that Lindsay learned the basics and some intermediate skills for using her magic. It was during this point that Tristain explained to them in a bit more detail about Ordexant. In particular, he explained how Ordexant had fortified his own powers by kidnapping untrained, inexperienced mages, extracting their magic through a painful, dangerous and often lethal process, and infusing himself with it ( ... )

It took the combined efforts of the party and a forming resistance group to infiltrate Ordexant's fortress and break Lindsay out (as well as sabotage many of his experiments). Lindsay was reunited with everyone and Thylos, while initially viewed with suspicion, was gradually accepted, especially because of Lindsay's vouching for his presence. Meanwhile, the preemptive strike on Ordexant, however, triggered a reaction, and both his and the resistance's forces began massing for a large-scale war. In Lindsay's absence, however, the party was able to gather the last of the stones, and they set out to journey to the Place of Prophecy to finally finish off Ordexant, hoping to use the coming battle as a distraction from their efforts ( ... )

PersonalityIn Back from the Otherworld, each character has one large obstacle that they most overcome emotionally to readjust to normal life back on Earth. For Lindsay, that problem is a bit more complicated than most. The youngest in her family, used to being cared about and protected, suddenly found herself in a completely vulnerable situation while in Otherworld, where she only had herself to rely on. That experience, of course, was while she was captured by Ordexant and had her magic extracted. The result of this situation, in addition to all of the other horrifying experiences she had in Otherworld, Lindsay is struggling with mild to moderate Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. One of her biggest triggers is feeling unprotected or vulnerable. Her personal struggle throughout the story is to try to understand that becoming independent, taking care of herself, and in many ways becoming an adult is natural, normal, and nothing to be afraid of, and that her negative experiences in the past are the exception, not the norm ( ... )
