[ Lindsay is one of many people she's trying to find today.

She doesn't know how to make amends. She doesn't know how to make better something so completely horrible.

But she knows she's got to try.

The only problem is that she barely knew some of her ... "victims." It was both better and worse than reaping her close friends -- her best friend and her boyfriend -- had been. Better in that it didn't knife her in the heart quite so much to have done it. Worse in knowing that, which made her feel even guiltier.... and worse in that these strangers probably thought her a hateful monster.

It wouldn't be that far from the truth, whispered her unhappy, bitter thoughts.

So she is looking. Lindsay will probably see her before she sees Lindsay. [

[It's been a long, long day. The blast mask had finally dropped off her face, as if it itself was frustrated with how often it was having to explode on her, and she was not sorry to see it go.

So yes, maybe it was an experiment. These... masks. And the moon. Whatever. The last experiment had been... well it was fine. Awkward and embarrassing sometimes, but fun.

This had been nothing short of torture.

Lindsay isn't exactly the most attentive to her surroundings, but there is one point where she does look up, and...

Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no. She can't be that unlucky.

There isn't that much to mark the shift, just a sudden, sharp intake of breath, and several hasty steps backwards, eyes wide and terrified, even chancing a glance backward. Please don't notice her again. Please...]

[ Xion hears it. And she looks up to see this girl reeling away from her looking like she's seen ....

All color drains from her face, and she almost runs herself. Instead, half on instinct, she raises her hands in a placating gesture. ] Wait, please! Please, I just ... I'm not .... going to hurt you. [ Her voice catches, almost as if on a sob. ] I just ... I wanted to apologize.

[The plea itself doesn't make her stop, not initially. It takes a few seconds for the words to filter through her panic. After that she comes to a halt, though she's still stiff, shoulders raised and tight, her head ducked.
Thylos for his part - though he's been a little bit leery of Lindsay all while she had the blast mask on - has drawn closer, tail flicking and watching the proceedings.

Which is more than can be said about Lindsay. She refuses to look up. She can't, not right now... But she's not running, at the moment. It's all the indication she's can give right now that she'll hear Xion out. She's fighting every instinct to bolt, before something else happens again.]
