[A month. It's been a month since she's gotten here. A month and at least a week, actually. A month since she's seen her family - especially her sister - and her friends, a month since she's been at "home"... and truth be told she's really, really starting to feel rather homesick. Thylos helped some, but... She just missed everyone. She hadn't even ( Read more... )

It might be conceptually possible. But the notion itself seems ludicrous.

[And... that's more what she's used to hearing. She ends up pulling out a pencil and writing her response, though. Talking to someone who's writing just... feels off, for some reason.]

That's what a lot of people on my world think, too.

[Sorry. He isn’t very open or trusting at initial meeting.]

So no one from your world is capable of inter-dimensional travel?

No, they aren't. [she pauses, before adding] Not when they want to, at least.

'Course it's possible! I've been to a bunch of different worlds.

[Travelled? Between worlds? His friends too?]

S-so... you and your friends... it's... you can do it when you want?

[This... is actually probably the closest to her own feelings that she's seen yet. Not an exact match, but still.]

Yeah... It's a really big change, especially if it's just been a thing in stories on your own world. There's a lot of cool things on new worlds, though.

And things to learn, like you said.

[She did learn things in Otherworld, even if not all of them were good things...]

We learn more things the more new places we go, huh? [Not that all the things are good things, but... still.]

I haven't really asked other people a lot about their worlds yet, myself, but... there are probably a lot of really good ones out there.

I've experienced all I care to experience of other worlds and different universes, thanks.

[Another response that surprises her. ... between the bad stuff in Otherworld and Luceti though, she can't... really blame him.

... still surprised though.]

So... you've actually been to some?

[Maybe this was more common than she thought...]

Not personally, no. My experience is more along the lines of other worlds bleeding into and invading mine.

I-I've never heard of anything like that...

[She's only been to one other, true, but... the worlds she'd seen just... stayed separate. They'd even gone home, once their job was done. Quietly...]

I guess it must've been really bad, huh...

This is my first time in any other sort of "world" or... the second time. In... this world. Right, yes. So I can't really say... I've considered the idea. It's a little mind-boggling. You've never heard of Ferelden, have you? And it's likely I've never heard of your home either.

But going to others... no. Neeeever. Well, unless you count the Fade, but I suppose everyone goes there at some point or another. Although it's not really another world. Just another... realm. I guess.

[There's a pause as she considers what he says. It sounds a little like what someone else was saying about alternate versions of Earth.]

I haven't heard of that place, no. [She laughs a little sheepishly] All this different worlds stuff is really confusing.

Well, to be fair, Ferelden is only a country. We don't really have a name for our world, really. I suppose, you could just call it Earth. Seems to be a popular enough title. But, [Chuckles] I hardly expect you to keep a list of all these worlds. Or anyone for that matter. Now THAT would be confusing. Although I'd bet, someone has already tried...

Probably... Someone has said that there are like maybe... alternate dimensions of worlds that exist too.

[How would you even count that? It almost makes you wonder how the... how the Malnosso can just do that... take people from so many places...]

Kind of makes you wonder how many worlds there are out there... Probably too many to count.
