So you apply for a job, after that you wait for a bit to see if they will interview you for said job. Now if you are lucky or just what they are looking for, you get that call to come in! Of course you set up a date and time then you’re set, ready for that interview with the manager or someone who is head up hiring. I’m sure you came knowing you are going to have to impress this guy, so you dress nice and make sure your posture is correct and you don’t say things like “Stuff” or “um”.

Putting all that aside now he or she looks at your resume and references. You are sitting there hoping to god that what you’ve listed will suffice or meet what they are looking for. Ok so he or she is interested now, so he or she starts asking questions about the places you’ve worked and what your personal interests are because he’d like to hear something coming from you to make sure you didn’t bull shit what you wrote, or to make sure you aren’t a nutcase.

Nice everything checks out, after all this if he feels that you might be a good applicant for the job he starts to describe work you will be doing for him or this company. After all is said and done he asks you if you have any questions, so you say what is on your mind if it is suitable. So you leave, hoping you can manage to impress them and get the job you seek for! Isn’t applying for a job fun?

I’ve applied for a position at Marin General Hospital as an Environmental Service Aide. To make things short and simple, I would be making sure things and places in the hospital are sterile. If you want an exact description of the job, here it is.  "Performs hard floor and carpet care related to tasks adhering to established techniques and standards in patient care and ancillary areas and/or possesses ability to perform service call cleaning in specialized areas of the Hospital. Performs heavy lifting of trash and linen at least 40% of work shift and/or is considered the primary assignment for management of biohazardous waste. All tasks follow established department policies and procedures maintaining or exceeding standards of cleanliness on sanitation as set forth by Marin County, the State of California and the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations."

There we go now the job is out on the table, you might be thinking to yourself “Why would Dominic want this job?” Well the fact that it pays eighteen something an hour and the hours are pre diem makes it worth it to me. If you didn’t know a pre diem position is, it's where you tell them when you are available to work and they try to fit you for work. Not that it doesn’t require a certain amount of hours per week but it helps when I have school going at the same time. So I can try to make the job work around or at least not into my school work, to me this seems like the ideal thing for me.

To sum everything up, I hope I get the job =\
