I ran the Cape Cod Marathon in Falmouth, MA on Sunday. My time was 3:33... I qualified for the Boston Marathon!!! WOOOooooo. The weather was perfect and the course was gorgeous. And of course, it being my first marathon, I went out too fast and died on the back hills. But nevertheless it was a whole lot of fun and pain.

This Sunday I'm running the Cape Cod Marathon!!!

This weekend was pretty fun, especially my floor's Anything but Clothes Party. A lot of people from off the floor actually came in costume! To see my costume made out of four decks of playing cards check out my Facebook picture.

It's been raining for a week straight... I haven't seen the sun in over 7 days :-( And I haven't been able to get a good run in since Sunday between the rain, schedules and need for new shoes.

Sigh. I just want the weather to perk up. Then I'll perk up too.

I ran my first road race today! It was the Komen Race for the Cure 5K in Boston and it was a lot of fun. I finished 31st out of 1,983 runners and was 7th our of 518 in my age group (20-29) with a time of 19:59. Not as fast as my practice run a couple weeks ago, but I am slightly out of shap due to some tendonitis and the weather got pretty hot. ( Read more... )
