Lost and Shaggy

Desmond streaking in tonight's episode pretty much made my day.

We turned in our character designs in Visual Storytelling today. I guess my hero character, who I'll eventually be animating, is Drem, my disfunctional wizard. For the purposes of this assignment, though, he is a beatnik... because I won't have to animate extravagant clothes LOL ( Read more... )

Your art r0xx0rz my s0xx0rz. I hope you know that.

Hmm... I'm debating whether or not to move that scandalous drawing of Jennifer to my desktop. Other people pass by my computer when it's on... but so much sexy.

He doesn't look like Shaggy to me. He looks shaggy, yes, but he doesn't look like Shaggy. Shaggy's face is a lot more elongated, and his eyebrows do different things. His eyes point downward at the corners, and his chin is much more elongated.

And whaddya know... I went looking for images to prove my point, and I got Shaggy pr0n. The Internet tubes (not the pr0n link) make me cry.

I really like the fear expression. He looks kind of different from the original drawing of him with the goat, but I like the clean, more graphic style that these represent. He's really cute! His face is squarish, but you still managed to make his cheeks look chubby and pinchable. Nice. :)

Thanks!!! Jeez, it feels like we haven't talked about art in forever. Anyway, the assignment was to design 4 characters using either a square, circle, or triangle shape. So, it's awesome that you noticed he was the square! :D Yeah, he's a bit different from the original, but I had to simplify/clean him up for eventual animation.
