A horrible noise filled Trucy's ears and she couldn't help but twist her young face into a look of sheer horror. The man in front of her grinned sheepishly, his spiky black hair looking slightly droopier than it did a year ago thanks to his lack of motivation to style his hair.
"That bad, huh? I told you I can't play the piano Trucy!"
Trucy quickly wiped the cringe off of her face and crossed her arms in daft defiance. "Of course you can! All you need to do is practice more that's all!" Her gloved hands grabbed a fallen piano book off of the floor and propped it up in front of the man. "I can't believe you've never learned to play the piano before Daddy!" She scolded him slightly and the man cringed with a slight uncomfortable laugh. "Come on, try it again!"
The man looked pleadingly at her but she pouted and pointed back to the piano and he sighed, his shoulders slumping over as he grudgingly began to play again. Yea. It was bad. But Trucy had insisted that her Daddy pick up something, another job specifically, to help with the income. Even though she was a working magician, a nine year old girl could only do so much to support herself and a grown man. She cringed slightly again as a series of sour notes hit her ears -- even if that something meant trying something that her Daddy had never done before in his life. But the place she was aiming to get her Daddy to apply was also known for something else, something that she thought her Daddy; and her old Daddy; thought that Daddy was pretty good at.
The harsh notes suddenly stopped and Trucy looked up from her thoughts, a hopeful grin on the man's face. She smiled back at him.
"Practice makes perfect Daddy! We're going to get you playing 'Mary Had a Little Lamb' like a pro in no time!"
The dream fades out to black but the noise still remains and you can hear an audiable groan before fading back to the out of tune piano.

*Cringes at the last closing notes*
It took us ages to learn that piece! But good thing the Borscht Bowl Club didn't hire him for his playing~
