remuslives23 who asked for Jack/Ianto, Possessive!Jack Jealous of Ianto and the Doctor getting along so well. Gosh I hope this lives up to it.
Jack woke up alone. That was a rare occurrence, especially now that Ianto lived with him at the Hub. Well. It wasn't like they actually talked about it, but more and more of his clothes had made their way into his wardrobe. He went home to the flat less and less. He'd said there wasn't much point, when everything he needed was at the Hub. It was only when Jack wanted to spread him out, play with some toys, bind him or be bound (though the latter was an even more rare occurrence than waking up alone) that they went back to the flat.
So when Jack found Ianto's side of the bed cold, he frowned. He got up and had a quick shower, dressed and climbed up the ladder staircase to his office. The lights were on in some parts of the Hub but not everywhere. So Ianto was still here, but Gwen wasn't in yet. Jack listened and heard laughing. He frowned and followed the sound towards the conference room.
“Oh it didn't hurt. Well... not much!” a voice said followed by more laughter.
“I wish I had been there to see it,” Ianto said wistfully. “I can't imagine him being that … carefree.”
“Oh I don't know about being carefree. More reckless than anything. But that's just Jack, isn't it?” The owner of the voice looked up. He was a tall, thin man wearing black glasses, and a blue pinstripe suit with a white business shirt and no tie. “Ah, speak of the devil. Hallo Jack,” he said as he stood up, converse sneakers on his feet.
Jack walked in from the shadows. “Doc?” The Doctor walked over and wrapped his arms around Jack, hugging him. Jack hugged him back. “How are you? What are you doing here?”
“Oh you know, had some time, thought I'd drop in and say hello.” The Doctor kicked at the ground. “Mr Jones here answered the, uh, the door thing upstairs. He was kind enough to offer a cup of coffee. Seriously, that is the best cup of coffee I've ever had in the entire galaxy!”
Ianto blushed as red as the business shirt he was wearing. “I.. uh.. thank you.”
The Doctor looked at him seriously. “You're welcome. No, thank you. Really, how do you make it like that? Can you teach me? Because I built a coffee machine on the TARDIS but it keeps making these chai lattes, and they're just rubbish.”
Ianto choked on a mouthful of coffee. He swallowed and coughed. Jack patted his back. “Uh. It's uh, it's all in the beans.”
“The beans?” the Doctor asked, intrigued.
“Oh yes, it's all about the right cocoa bean, how it's roasted, ground, what it's mixed with. And then, you have to filter it correctly and make sure you don't use water that's too hot otherwise you'll burn the coffee. Making coffee is purely science.”
The Doctor sat down and leant his chin on one hand, “Tell me more.”
Jack's eyes widened. This was not a conversation he wanted to hang around for. “Uh, have you guys eaten?”
“Oh. No, sir. Sorry. I should-” Ianto went to stand up but Jack put his hand on his shoulder and pushed him down gently.
“No, please. Stay. Tell the Doc about coffee. I'll rustle up some breakfast and bring in some more coffee.”
Ianto's eyes widened at the prospect. “You know, actually, I've always found interactive experiences to be much more conducive to learning. Doctor, would you like to learn how to make the perfect cup of coffee?”
“Mr Jones, that would be fantastic!” The Doctor stood up with a grin.
“Excellent.” Ianto smiled and gathered up the two mugs. “I'll make some breakfast while I'm at it. Thank you, for the offer Jack. Oh, you have a phone meeting with the PM in,” he checked his watch, “two minutes. I'll bring your breakfast and coffee to you.”
“O-kay.” Jack expected at least a kiss, but there was nothing as the Doctor followed Ianto excitedly to the kitchen. Jack sighed and headed back to his office to await the dreaded phone call.

Ianto brought in a plate of scrambled eggs on toast and his usual blue and white striped mug of coffee, made to perfection just as he was hanging up the phone. Ianto put the plate and mug down on Jack's desk.
“Here you go.” Ianto smiled as he looked at Jack. “Good morning, by the way.”
“Is it?” Jack muttered, and looked up at his lover and sighed. “Hi.”
Ianto reached out and rubbed his thumb against Jack's temple. “You okay?”
“Fine.” Jack reached for Ianto's tie. “Where's the Doctor?”
“With Gwen,” Ianto smiled, leaning down to plant a kiss on Jack's lips. Jack chased him when he pulled back. “You should eat while it's hot.”
“I could eat something else,” Jack offered, and Ianto rolled his eyes.
“Jack. We have company. Your company by the way.”
“It's not like I invited him,” Jack complained, as Ianto pulled out of Jack's reach and headed for the door.
“Eat your breakfast, Jack. I'm taking the Doctor down to the place where I order the coffee beans from so he can stock up the TARDIS.”
Jack looked up from his plate. “Make sure you come back.”
Ianto turned back and smiled. “Of course. What, do you think I'm going to run away and travel with him?” Ianto started laughing. “I won't be going anywhere, Jack. Besides, I don't like to fly.”
“You don't like to fly?” Jack frowned, his heart sinking a little. There went his hope to show Ianto the stars sometime.
“No,” Ianto shook his head. “Lisa and I flew from London to Rome once.” Ianto shuddered. “We flew through a thunderstorm. I've never been so sick in my life. I can just imagine what would happen if I travelled in space. Don't worry. My feet will stay firmly on the ground.”
And without another word, Ianto left. Jack just stabbed his eggs with his fork.

Jack watched the CCTV on his computer monitor as Ianto and the Doctor walked along the Plass to Mermaid Quay where Ianto's favoured coffee bean store was located. The Doctor listened intently as Jack's lover spoke to him in what Jack knew were hushed tones, his tongue rolling around Welsh vowels. Ianto didn't speak unless he had something to say. Clearly, he had a lot to say to the Timelord, who was enraptured. The Doctor's hands were shoved in his pants pockets, his brown trench coat flapping behind him as he twisted and turned around Ianto, walking backwards and forwards and jumping around him in what Jack had often thought of as his mating dance when he was travelling with the Doctor and Rose, and Rose was the one the Doctor was flapping around.
Jack's mouth hardened in a thin line.
“Oh that doesn't look like a happy face.”
Jack jumped and looked up to see Gwen in the doorway. “Hey. What's up?”
“Oh, nothing,” she said, sauntering in and perching on the edge of Jack's desk. “What's so interesting on the Quay, then?” She asked, glancing at his screen.
“Nothing.” Jack pressed a button and the CCTV footage disappeared. His face showed no emotion, but that was more telling to Gwen than anything else. “Something you wanted?”
“Rift alert in Swansea. Thought we should go take a look. Probably a retrieval job.”
“I'll call Ianto,” Jack lit up.
“I thought he was out with that Doctor friend of yours?” Gwen asked, frowning.
Jack grinned. “He is. But there's work to do. I'll pick him up on the way. I'm sure the Doc won't mind hanging out in town on his own for a while.”
“I'll just stay here and co-ordinate shall I?” Gwen asked as Jack strapped on his weapons belt and loaded up his webby.
“That'd be great!” He threw her a smirk as he grabbed his greatcoat and swept out of his office, pulling out his cell phone and speed dialling Ianto while patting his pockets for the keys for the SUV. As he passed Ianto's desk, he saw his partner's ear piece sitting there. Frowning, he pocketed the technology. “Ianto!”
“Jack. What is it?”
“Rift alert in Swansea. Gwen thinks it's a retrieval job.” Jack opened the car door and swung up inside. “I'll pick you up on the way.”
“Oh, I'm sure the Doctor will love this. I'm assuming he'll be joining us?”
“Well-.”
“Jack, you can't leave the man alone in town. He's a menace to society,” Ianto muttered under his breath. “Besides, he'd be beside himself on a mission like this. And you never know, we might need his knowledge. Every pair of hands helps.” Jack said nothing, just turned on the ignition of the car and slammed it into reverse. “You know I'm right. Five minutes.”
“Two.” Jack hung up and pocketed his phone as he turned the vehicle around, heading from the Plass to Mermaid Quay. Jack pulled up outside the coffee bean store and tapped on the steering wheel. When the doors opened, he schooled his features. “Ready to go to work?” Jack asked as he looked over at his lover.
“Jack!” The Doctor exclaimed as he climbed into the backseat of the car.
“Try not to kill us on the way please, sir. We do have a passenger,” was all Ianto said as he calmly strapped himself into the front seat. “Better put the seat belt on, Doctor. And hang on.”
“Oh, I'll be fine!” The Doctor said, grinning as he sat in the middle of the back seat of the car. Jack floored the accelerator, sending the Doctor flying back in his seat. “Ooph.”
“I did warn you,” Ianto rolled his eyes as he held onto the handle above the passenger door and looked out the window. “I'm not entirely convinced your license isn't forged.”
“What license?” Jack grinned over at his lover who rolled his eyes again.
“Nah, I'm fine!” the Doctor said as he popped back up again, grabbing onto both front chairs. “Right then! Where are we going?”
“Alien tech retrieval in Swansea,” Jack said, reaching into his pocket. “Ianto, heads up.” He tossed Ianto his ear piece that he hadn't taken with him on his shopping trek with the Doctor.
“Thank you,” Ianto said, sliding the equipment on.
Jack turned a corner sharply, and the Doctor went flying in the backseat again, legs going everywhere, yelping in surprise.
“You okay there Doc?” Jack asked over his shoulder.
“Yep!” came the muffled reply. Jack and Ianto shared a smile.

When Jack pulled up at the site that Gwen had directed them to which was Clyne Wood, west of Swansea, the Doctor followed Jack and Ianto as they searched the area.
“Anything?” Jack called out.
“Nothing!” Ianto called back.
Jack sighed. “Alright, spread out. It's got to be here somewhere.”
The three of them spread out a little further and made their way through the trees and brush, Ianto muttering and cursing at having to claw his way through the bloody forest in a suit. He spotted a small box on the floor of the forest amongst some twigs and bend down to look at it.
“Jack!” he called out. “I think I found something!”
The Doctor reached him first, and leaned over his shoulder to look at it. “Hmmm,” he hummed, and then crouched down beside Ianto to look at the tech. Jack found them couched beside each other, heads together, with the Doctor pointing his sonic screwdriver at the technology, scanning it. “Oh ho. Look at that! Hey? You don't see that every day, do you?”
Ianto started laughing as Jack made his way closer.
“You find it?” Jack called out.
Ianto looked over his shoulder. “Jack! It's not a retrieval,” he called out, his head almost colliding with the Doctor's.
Jack quickened his pace and crouched down on the other side of Ianto, his hand splaying on the middle of Ianto's back as he did so. He just needed to touch, to reconnect with Ianto. He needed to stake some kind of ownership. He frowned. Where did that come from? Peering over Ianto's shoulder, he saw inside an open box what looked to be a tiny city filled with miniature sized people.
“It's like peering into the locker at the train station,” Ianto commented. Both Jack and the Doctor looked at him strangely. “'Men In Black Two'? Kay and the watch?” He blushed. “Uh, nevermind. Just a... movie. Uh. Ever seen anything like this before?”
The Doctor looked at Jack and Ianto thoughtfully. “I seem to recall there being a world out by the Kaloonta system that had miniature people on it but nothing like this. This seems to be an entire world, or at least a self contained city in a box. Hallo there!” the Doctor waved down at them. The Doctor aimed his sonic screwdriver at the box again, and suddenly a booming voice came from the box. But none of them could understand it.
“Doctor, didn't you mention that your TARDIS had an automatic language translation filter?” Ianto asked, looking back down at the box.
“Well, yes, it does. Why is that, exactly?” the Doctor asked, frowning.
“I wonder if we take the box on board the TARDIS if her automatic language translation would allow us to understand what the aliens are saying?” Ianto asked, looking back up at the Doctor, then at Jack. “I mean, if we don't know where they're from, and we can't understand them, they may be calling out an SOS for all we know. If the TARDIS can help us translate it, we may be able to send them home?”
“Brilliant!” The Doctor reached out and grabbed Ianto's cheeks, and pulled his head in, pressing a kiss to Ianto's forehead. “Oh you are just fantastic, you are! Isn't he fantastic, Jack?”
Jack's mouth was in a thin line. “Yes. He is.”
Ianto blushed, and reached into his pocket for a pair of gloves that he always carried with him. “Jack, did you bring the -”
“Yeah, right here.”
Jack and Ianto carefully put the box into a containment carrier and carefully carried the box back to the car, the Doctor following behind, jumping and dancing around trees and fallen branches. Once at the car, Ianto and Jack secured the carrier in the boot space of the SUV, while the Doctor climbed into the backseat. When Jack slammed the door of the SUV's trunk closed, Ianto turned to walk around the SUV and climb in, but Jack pulled him back.
“Jack?”
Jack's hand found the back of Ianto's neck and roughly pulled him in for a hard kiss, nipping at his bottom lip, his tongue sweeping into Ianto's mouth when his lover gasped for air. Ianto's fingers grasped at the lapels of Jack's greatcoat, clinging as Jack plundered his mouth. When the kiss came to an end, Ianto looked dazed and confused.
“What was that for?” Ianto asked, smoothing the wool down on Jack's lapels of his coat where his fingers had bunched the material. “Not that I'm complaining...”
“He kissed you,” Jack murmured. “I didn't like it.”
Ianto stared at Jack for a moment, then narrowed his eyes. “Get in the car, Jack.”
“Ianto-”
“I'm not talking about it here. Get in the car.” And with that, Ianto turned on his heel and rounded the car, getting in the front seat and slamming the door shut.

The drive back to the Plass was rather quiet, except for the Doctor chattering away about where he thought their visitors might have come from. Ianto asked the Doctor questions, prompting his continual chatter about various planets he'd been to. When they got back to Cardiff, the Doctor insisted on Ianto accompanying him and Jack onto the TARDIS to see if his idea worked.
Ianto, of course, was guarded about going into the ship. He regarded her as the machine that had taken Jack from him - even Jack vaguely knew that he felt this way, not that they'd talked about it that much. Ianto wasn't one for talking about his feelings. But Jack had managed to pick up a thing or two from reading his diary when he left it lying around, and he'd made some pointed comments about Jack's references to the Doctor and the TARDIS when he'd mentioned them previously, which was why Jack didn't talk about either of them that much with Ianto - he didn't think Ianto appreciated it.
Now, seeing Ianto and the Doctor get along so well, Jack couldn't help but wonder what Ianto had against the man?
Jack watched in silence as Ianto walked through the door of the TARDIS and looked around. He remained stoic, but Jack could see the awe in his eyes as he took everything in. Of course, the Doctor made his usual comment about how most people comment how she's bigger on the inside, and Ianto made some inane comment that Jack wasn't really listening to. He was too busy watching how the Doctor was walking so close to Ianto that there was barely a gap between them.
Ianto and Jack put the box down on the floor of the TARDIS and Ianto carefully opened the lid of the containment carrier, then the Doctor used his sonic screwdriver to open the box again. Ianto's idea worked, and once the Doctor amplified their voices again, they heard their cry for help. The colony of aliens were on board a space craft that had been hit by an asteroid and knocked off their co-ordinates for their pre-arranged destination. With the Doctor's help, they were able to send out an SOS to a passing transport that would be able to get the lost party to their destination.
Once more the three men set about carrying the box of alien travellers back out to the SUV to transport them to the arranged rendezvous point in Bute Park. Once their visitors were on their way once more, the Doctor celebrated by hugging both Jack and then Ianto. Watching his friend wrap his arms around his lover, Jack felt himself become jealous once more about how well Ianto and the Doctor got along. It wasn't that they were friends... he didn't like how the Doctor looked at Ianto.
The Doctor had that look in his eyes when he looked at Ianto like he did when he looked at Rose. Longing. Ache. Admiration. Jack didn't like it. Not at all. Ianto was his, dammit, and he would be damned if the Timelord was going to burst in and take away what he had worked so long and hard at creating with Ianto. Jack needed Ianto. Especially now, with the loss of Tosh and Owen not yet settled.
Jack knew the Doctor himself was reeling from the loss of his own companion recently. He knew he had to give up Donna. But that didn't mean he could waltz right in and take Jack's lover, his partner. Ianto was his. Jack gritted his teeth. Maybe he needed to show Ianto just who he belonged to? Did Ianto know how much he meant to Jack? Did he realise just how much Jack needed him? What if Jack hadn't made that clear? Fear gnawed at Jack's belly as he drove them back to the Hub. When he slammed the breaks on and put the SUV into park, he climbed out of the SUV and slammed the door shut.
“Doc, did you want to hang out with Gwen for a while? I'm sure she'd love to hear all about our adventure this afternoon. Ianto, my office. Now.”
“Oh. Yes. Yeah, sure. Jack. No, ah, no problem,” the Doctor winked at Ianto as he clasped his hands behind his back and whistled as he walked into the Hub and went looking for Gwen.
~*~
Ianto sighed and made his way to Jack's office. When he got there, his lover was no where in sight. “Jack?” Ianto called out, before he noticed that the manhole cover was open. Ianto frowned. Pulling out his ear piece and leaving it on Jack's desk, he made his way down into Jack's den. As he reached the bottom of the ladder, he found himself pressed against it. “Jack?”
Jack had plastered himself against Ianto's back, his breath hot on Ianto's ear. “You and the Doctor seemed rather cosy out there today.”
Ianto choked on a laugh. “I would have thought you'd like it if we get along, I thought that's what you'd want! I was just making friends with your Doctor. After all, you're the one who left me for him.” Ianto sighed and rested his head on one of the stairs. “I'm sorry. I didn't mean that.”
Jack stepped back. “Yes, you did.”
Ianto turned around and put his hands on his hips. “Alright, I did, but dammit, Jack, I had no right to be upset. It's not like we were... anything back then. Hell, we're not even anything now.”
“I'm sorry, what?” Jack's stomach plummeted.
“What, what?” Ianto asked, confused.
“What did you just say? 'We're not even anything'?” Jack asked, hurt. Ianto didn't know! How could he not know?
“I don't... I don't even know what I've done to upset you, Jack!? All I did was try to get along with your friend, and all it's done is piss you off all day!”
“I'm not pissed off with you!” Jack roared. “I'm pissed off with him!”
Ianto blinked. “Oh.” He blinked again. “Why?”
“Why?” Jack moved closer, pressing Ianto back against the ladder. “Because you're mine Ianto Jones.”
“I-I am?”
Jack's eyes darkened with arousal as he gripped the ladder on either side of Ianto's head. “Yes. You are.” Jack took Ianto's mouth in a searing kiss that rivalled the one he planted on him in Clyne Wood. Ianto's hands grappled for something to hold onto and found Jack's hips, pulling him against his own. Jack ended the kiss, both of them panting. “No one else touches what's mine.”
“But-”
Jack kissed Ianto again, his tongue sliding into Ianto's open mouth, expertly wrapping around Ianto's and flicking the organ just the right way to make Ianto moan so deliciously, to make him weak at the knees enough that his fingers curl in on the material in his hands and he became pliant in Jack's embrace. Jack pulled his mouth back again, and took in the dazed and confused look in his lover's eyes, pupil's blown so wide only a sliver of the blue irises were left.
“Now. You're going to do what I say, okay?” Jack said against his ear, before flicking Ianto's lobe with his tongue. Ianto groaned and thrust his hips against Jack's. “First, you're not going to do that.”
“Jack,” Ianto whined.
“Stop. Or I will,” Jack warned. Ianto pulled his hips back. “Good boy. Now, you're going to strip out of that suit, which you look oh so good in, and then you're going to get on the bed and stretch yourself open for me.” Ianto's eyes widened in anticipation. “Oh yes, Ianto. You're mine, and I intend to show you just how fucking much you belong to me. Now strip for me.”
Jack stepped back and watched as Ianto unknotted his tie and slowly pulled it from around his neck. He flung it around Jack's neck and smirked. Then he undid his waistcoat and allowed it to slid off his shoulders and onto the floor. As he slowly made his way to the bed, Ianto pulled out his shirt from his pants and undid his red business shirt.
“You know what?” Jack said as he was about to take the shirt off. “Leave the shirt on, unbuttoned.”
Ianto said nothing as he turned to face Jack and undid his pants, kicked off his shoes and pushed his pants and underwear down, removing his socks as well to stand before Jack in his open red business shirt. Jack smiled and walked over and put the tie back around his neck, undone.
“Yes, that's better,” he said, and opened the nightstand drawer, grabbing the tube of lubricant and handing it over to Ianto. “Here.”
“Yes, sir.” Ianto squeezed some out onto his fingers and knelt on the bed, reaching back to slide a finger into himself. He groaned as the digit entered. Jack drew in a breath at the sight and slid his braces off his shoulders. His fingers made quick work of the buttons of his own shirt and yanked it out of his pants.
“Another finger, Ianto,” he instructed, as he pulled the white undershirt over his head and undid his pants, shoving them and his boxers to the floor, kicking off his boots and socks at the same time. Reaching for the lube himself, Jack squeezed out a generous amount and set about coating his cock as he watched Ianto thrust two fingers in and out of his own arse, scissoring his fingers to stretch the muscle. “Add a third, baby.”
Ianto did as he was told, groaning his lover's name as he did so. Jack sat down on the bed beside where Ianto was kneeling, holding himself up with one hand and roughly pulled him into a deep, messy, kiss. “Who do you belong to?” Jack asked when he pulled back, his hand at the back of Ianto's neck. Ianto whimpered, but didn't reply. Jack pressed his forehead against Ianto's. “Who do you belong to?”
“You, Jack,” Ianto whispered.
“That's right. And who gets to fuck you?”
“You do, Jack,” Ianto whimpered.
“Ride me, Ianto,” Jack demanded, and helped Ianto to pull his hand out of his arse and climb onto Jack's lap, slowly sitting down on Jack's cock. Jack groaned at the tight feel of Ianto's muscles clenching around him as he sank down. “Fuck.” The shirt hung around him, floating back towards the floor as Ianto arched.
“Jack,” Ianto moaned wantonly, arching back against Jack's hands that supported his shoulder blades. Ianto tilted his hips experimentally, and a guttural sound came out of his throat as Jack's cock hit against his prostrate. Ianto slowly rose up, his thighs shaking as he did, then eased his way back down, hissing at the contact. “Fuck, Jack, fuck!”
“Ianto, so good baby,” Jack praised, kneading the hard muscles of his lover's back. “So fucking sexy, Ianto. That's it, rise up, baby, rise up,” he said as Ianto rose up on his knees again. “And down, fuck yourself on my cock.” Ianto did, his hips moving faster, easier now that the muscles were used to the size of Jack's cock. “Fuck, you look so fucking good Ianto. Mine, baby, all mine. No one else's. Ever. Just mine.” Jack spread his knees and laid back a little to give himself some leverage to fuck up into Ianto, who growled and reached back to hold onto Jack's thighs as he rose up and sank down.
“Yours Jack. I'm yours,” Ianto admitted, and Jack reached out to run a hand up and down Ianto's chest. He rose back up, and pulled Ianto's head down into a fierce, messy kiss. Jack pushed a hand between them and found Ianto's cock, pulling on it in time with their thrusts as they both chased the adrenaline and endorphins racing through their systems to reach their completion. Ianto leaned forward to wrap his arms around Jack's shoulders and head, fingers sliding into slick, sweaty hair as his tongue tangled and twisted around Jack's. When he toppled over the edge to orgasm and exploded over Jack's fingers and their chests, he wrenched his mouth from Jack's, yelling incoherently as his body spasmed. Jack followed, pulsing into Ianto, as they collapsed back onto the bed, panting and groaning.
Jack reached up to brush Ianto's cheek. “Ianto,” he said, waiting until he had his lover's attention. “We are something. I thought you knew that.”
Ianto blushed. “Well. I. Um. I mean, I hoped, but... we never... you never... you're... I...” he sighed. “I'm not good at this, Jack.”
“At what? Relationships?”
Ianto rolled his eyes. “Talking about my feelings.”
“Oh. Well, I kind of figured that part out.” Jack grinned, and bushed a lock of sweating black hair that had curled and clung onto Ianto's forehead back so it was slicked back against his head. “I wasn't mad at you today.” Ianto hissed as he moved his hips but Jack held him still. “Don't. I want us connected. Just... a little longer. Please.” Ianto pushed back down onto Jack's cock, which was still hard. Jack moaned. “I wasn't mad at you.”
“What were you mad at?” Ianto asked softly.
“I was scared,” Jack admitted, giving Ianto a self-deprecating smile. “Everyone who meets the Doctor falls in love with him.”
Ianto looked heartbroken. “Like you did.”
“I'm not!” Jack said quickly, holding Ianto closer, making sure he couldn't escape.
“You were.”
Jack drew in a deep breath and then released it slowly. “I was.” Ianto looked resigned as he closed his eyes and nodded. “Then I met you.” Ianto's eyes flew open. “Everything changed, when I met you, Ianto.”
“But... but Jack... you... I... and you...” Ianto sighed and rested his head on Jack's chest. “Please, just shoot me and put me out of my misery.”
“No,” Jack chuckled.
“Why not?” Ianto whined.
“Because you mean far too much to end your life prematurely.”
“Ja-ack.”
Jack smiled and pushed Ianto's head up. “Ianto Jones, I hope you understand that while you're mine, I'm yours too.” Ianto's head flew up, eyes wide. “You didn't realise that, did you?”
“N-no.” Ianto gave him a wry smile. “I... always figured that Owen was right.”
“When it comes to us, Owen was never right, Ianto,” Jack said softly.
“Why did you think I would fall in love with the Doctor?” Ianto asked Jack, staring down at his lover. “He wears converse sneakers with a suit, I mean really! He's entirely too erratic, he bounces like an ADD five year old hyped up on sugar, and he thinks because he's so clever he's better than everyone else. He doesn't seem all that flash to me.”
Jack smiled up at Ianto. “Really?”
“Really. Besides. I like my partners to treat me like an equal, not like a first grade student that's managed to solve a hard puzzle to get a gold star. And I don't like to fly.” Ianto pretended to think. “I think you might be stuck with me, sir. Is that going to be a problem?”
Jack's eyes welled with tears. Instead of shedding them, he pulled Ianto down for a kiss. He didn't have a problem with that at all.
