we got to see first hand what happened to Jack when Ianto was taken by the rift, never did I imagine we'd get a look at what happened to Ianto all those years.

Thank you for continually putting up with my whining and re-edits and constant encouragment in the face of my "ugh tell me its not crap?" mentality. I honestly don't know what I would do without you. After all, this entire verse wouldn't exist if not for you!

Oh, that was fantastic! It was gutting to read what happened to Ianto and how badly Jack coped with losing him, but the ending... *clutches heart*

*hugs* oh I'm so glad you liked it it! Like I said in the previous post, I was so nervous about it because it was a differnt format by doing it in a journal entry but I didn't want to make it too dialogue heavy and a dream sequence wouldn't explain it to Jack...

Anyway I'm happy it worked!

I think the new format worked perfectly. Going back and using Ianto's diary was a stroke of pure genius! The way you were able to describe everything Ianto went through, felt and thought made it feel as if you were there, with him. It made Ianto's horrible ordeal gut-wrenchingly real. You could feel how terrifying it all was.

Poor Jack, so wracked with guilt over what Ianto was put through, not having been able to find him sooner to rescue him. At least he knew from the diary that Ianto had kept the faith that Jack was looking for him. Feeling so guilty about what he was driven to, to survive the long lonely years searching for Ianto.

And now it's all out, and now comes the healing.
