Night Of Mayhem with Tig, Juice & Bobby Elvis from Sons Of Anarchy!
Last night, trueblue55 and I went to the Brisbane Night of Mayhem with the Sons of Anarchy at the Eatons Hill Tavern and Entertainment Venue. We had a mixed review of the evening - and none of the disappointments were with the guys. The event organizers, however, I think underestimated how long it was going to take to go through the number of GOLD VIP and upgraded guests in Brisbane. It started at 6pm, and we had to be there at 6pm for registration. Then we lined up for the cattle station like photo and autograph "Meet N Greet". We didn't get a lot of time with the guys - like 3 minutes if that - a photo and a personalised autographed poster and a personal item of choice as well. Not to mention, the event should have really gone all day if they were going to have 180 VIP guests. Talk about $$ grabbing. Nothing like any other VIP MNG I've been to before.
The guys were AMAZING.
My personal experience was phenomenal. I think KC (Kim Coates - Tig Tregar) recognised me from my twitter photo, as we've tweeted a couple of times, but I was giggling at Rob, a guy that Sam and I became mates with while waiting in line when he was getting his photo taken.
When it was my turn, Kim came over to see me first and gave me a hug and I said "Hey babe."
Kim said, "Hey sweetheart."
I said "I owe you a hug hello from our friend Lisa." Lisa is a mutual friend of mine and kajmere's.
Kim said, "Lisa, Lisa... do I follow Lisa?"
I replied, "Yeah, you follow Lisa, and I follow Lisa."
He then lit up and said, "Oh yeah! Lisa from Calgary!" and he drew the word out. I confirmed that she was who I was talking about.
"Yeah. Miss Cowtown!"
"Right, right, right!" Then he asked, "Do I follow you?" And I said no and I laughed. So he gave me a hug and said, "Tell Lisa I said hello."
Theo then came over and gave me a brief hug hello, and asked how I was and I said I was getting there. And he gave me this slow grin as he said that getting there was good.
Boone then gave me a hug hello and pointed out my shirt, the navy blue SAMCRO shirt that Jax (Charlie Hunnam) wears sometimes, and asked "How come you're wearing a SAMCRO tshirt?"
Quick as a flash I retorted, "Because my husband's name is Sam."
He gave me that patented Bobby Elvis grin and nodded his head at me as they lined up for the photo (below:)

Kim asked for my name to personalise the poster and Boone asked if I had anything else to be signed, so I picked up my flag (that came with my boxset dvd for the first 3 seasons) off the floor by my bag. Kim was explaining to Boone that I was friends with one of his "crazy twitter stalkers, Lisa from Calgary" but he said it with love. When he was done, he came around the table and gave me a hug and said that the hug was for me, as the first one was for Lisa and thanks for coming out and he hoped I had a great time.
I said, "No, thank you for coming out. We appreciate it!" as he and Boone and Kim went to talk to trueblue55.
Theo was still signing my stuff.
I lightly poked him on the bicep and said, "Hey, I was thrilled to see you in Hawaii Five-O because that's my other favourite show!"
He totally lit up and grinned as he capped the pen and said, "Oh yeah? Thanks! That was a lot of fun hanging out with my boy, Scott." HOLD THE PHONE. Theo and Scott Caan are buddies???? HOMG!!
I stood up straighter and said, "Scott is my favourite actor! I love him!"
Theo grinned and said "Yeah, he's great, isn't he?"
I nodded and told him he was awesome too. He thanked me and thanked me for coming out and hoped we had a great time.
The bodyguard was all, "Please leave through here."
I asked if I could stay and watch Sam, and he said I could as long as I moved out of the way, which I was completely fine with. During Sam's time with the guys, they told him they didn't film the Irish season (season 3) in Ireland, it was all filmed in the US. Sam also pointed out to them that *I* was his wife and Boone when he realised that Sam I was talking about, he came over to me and with his finger lightly drew it over the CRO part on my shirt and said you could just cross that out and have it say SAM or you could be Sam's CRO.
I laughed and said he was right. Sam grabbed his stuff, we thanked the guys again and followed the bodyguard's instructions on where to go from there, which was downstairs.
That takes us to 6.45pm. Around 9pm, the guy that sings the theme song for the show came out and sang a few songs, before the guys came on stage with a host who asked a bunch of questions first before throwing it over to the audience. We got most of the QnA on video, and once I have it converted, I may invite selected few who would like to see it to the folder on drop box to download it. It will not be on YouTube and I will be extremely pissed if it becomes viral online.
So, there you have it. My night with SAMCRO.
