Ian takes her to dinner. Albeit the dinner is in a bar, but it’s still a nice bar.
This all speaks to a man that is different than what Nikki had previously thought.
They talk work for a while because that’s what they are first and foremost: federal agents.
But then their words move internal as Ian asks how she ended up with the FBI.
Nikki barks out a laugh and says with a twist of her lips, “It’s a long story.”
Ian smirks and surprises her. “I’ve got time.”
And so she lets him inside what makes up her.
