“So how exactly do we stop the most powerful man on the planet?” Don asked, referring to the two Company partners’ earlier words about Sylar. He shifted in the back seat of the car, rereading the file for the fourth time. “I mean freezing, liquification, induced radioactivity? I take it I can’t just shoot him?”
“No.” was the chorus from both people in the front seat.
Megan twisted around to face him, a half smile in place. “He also has the power of telekinesis and knows how to use it. He’d just stop the bullet before it reached him.”
“Great,” Don said, false enthusiasm present. “So what’s the plan?”
Bennet pulled over to the side of the street, parking against the curb in front of a reasonably sized house. “The plan, Agent Eppes,” he said while looking back in the rearview mirror. “Is to keep this woman from Sylar’s collection.”

The dark figure watched from across the street two women as they walked from the door to the car in the driveway. The younger helped the elder load her bags in the back, casting furtive glances around.
He chuckled around the bite of apple. If poor Megan thought sending the woman away would be enough to keep her from him, then he’d knocked her around harder than he’d thought at their last meeting.
His attention was diverted as two men joined the blonde moving towards the curbside car. Why would there be three?
Enhanced hearing kicking in, his eidetic memory stored the name ‘Don Eppes’ as it left Bennet’s mouth. Further listening in revealed ‘your ability’ and ‘help’. He watched as the car drove away, his replacement for the lost power going too.
Sylar grinned as he stepped out from behind the tree, apple core falling to the ground. “Oohh, Noah, this is going to be so much fun.”
