Don tapped the headset in his ear. His fingers came up, counting down in time to his voice. “Three…two…one. GO!”
The door of the rundown house was kicked in and FBI agents swarmed in. Jason Bates was subdued in moments.
“Damn good lead, Don.”
Don nodded at Colby’s words. He caught the eye of Bates as he was lead out, the expression on his face mirroring Colby’s earlier wonderment: how’d he been caught after being so precise?
He smiled slightly, remembering this morning. One touch of the murder weapon and the face and name had come immediately.
Wherever she was, Don was sure Megan would be pleased.
