Knitting in the Round

I recently started the Christening gown project that I mentioned before. This involved casting on 480 stitches....which is more than anything I've cast on before. The skirt of the gown is knit in the round. That's cool....I can deal with that. The cardinal rule of knitting in the round is NOT to twist the stitches of the cast on row. Well, ( Read more... )

Um. Yeah. Whatever you say.

I decided upon closer inspection to go ahead and rip it out. It was twisted several times, and even if it wouldn't be noticeable to most people, I am not sure I'd be happy with it. Since it's an heirloom-type thing, I want it to look professional.

I'm thinking I need to find longer circular needles....
