Meile, whose sitting on the bed and staring blankly at the wall, internally winces at that. And then he forces himself to be blank again. Because it hurts to think he caused-- no,

(L is furious. Though Miss Light had told him not to, he's on the hunt for Meile's room, and he's pretty sure he knows where it is. He's seen Meile and Mihael go in there a few times, and he's assuming that's where they'll be. But honestly, the sensible part of him is yelling at him, thinking about how it seems odd for Meile to have done something like... that. Meile did have an odd accent and a bad habit of cursing constantly, but he'd seemed like an honorable man... but L shakes those thoughts out of his mind and continues to Meile's room, scowling. He intended to take care of this.

He pounds on the door of the room, and waits for an answer, trying to calm his wildly shaking hands)

(Meile barely registers the knock on the door. He does look up, though, curious in a detatched way, and gets up to answer it. Maybe it's Nate. Maybe the door is locked somehow. Maybe it was Miha--

No, Meile. Don't think.

Meile walks slowly to the door, ignoring the angry pounding against the door, and opens it, looking out. And is rather surprised when a fist comes flying at his face.

...Ow. Meile stumbles back, hitting a wall, but his expression doesn't change. He merely stares flatly at the Pink Thing, blankly and without recognition)

(L growls in annoyance, and shakes his fist slightly; he hasn't punched anybody in a long time, and that one sort of hurt. He hadn't been intending to punch Meile, but the sight of the man had made him lose control momentarily. L takes in a shaky breath and glares the man down, noting the blank expression and realizing that pissed him off further. L strides forward and grabs Meile by the front of the shirt, ignoring the rather extreme height difference, and slams Meile into the wall)

What did you do to Miss Light?
(Voice is dangerous)

(Meile doesn't show any sign of pain when he's slammed into the wall. But he continues to stare at L, uncomprehending. What is this Pink Thing talking about? It looks pissed...

Meile doesn't answer. Just stares into those black eyes, and lets his mind wander far away)
