So, besides one "Scary Ass Cradle"... I was also given a couple of way cool gifts from my *giggle* husband.
He got me a mug from the Bux that I've been wanting for some time (it's a ceramic mug with a handle that looks like a 16oz 'Grande' to-go cup), a pair of supermini dice for my growing collection. That would be a perfect prop for one of those ( Read more... )

WotR is awesome. And once you've got a few games under your belt, it's a surprisingly easy play, so you can really get into the deeper and subtler aspects of the game. And heck, if it ever gets boring, there's an expansion with Ents and stuff.

As far as more games? Everyone should own Settlers, Carcassone, and Puerto Rico. Others I'd recommend include Bohnanza (especially good for hooking non-gamers), Memoir '44 (if you're into strategy games), and a CMG called Dreamblade. I was highly sceptical of Dreamblade for a number of reasons, but it has turned out to be fascinating.

Why don't you and Colin and Chris and I get together for a gaming party thing at our place sometime? You can try out some of the games we have that way and see what you like? We've (well, Chris has) a bunch! :D

I have not played "The Settlers of Catan" is good? maybe will pick up a copy always looking for something different.

I have had http://www.twilightcreationsinc.com/zombies/ this ggame ZOMBIESS!! for awhile though have not had a chance to get a game going yet am told its a decent card game :)

Settlers of Catan is one of my (and a lot of peoples') favorite games. It's a pretty common standby at our parties when people can't decide on a game to play.

I've only played ZOMBIES!!! once, and it was with six people, most of whom didn't know how to play. Needless to say, it was slow. Maybe I'll try a four-player game sometime.

Also, don't forget to try out Cheapass Game's "Give me the Brain"; picture zombies working at a fast food joint with only one brain to share amongst themselves. Silly fun!

So i got your message from your call today, but I was in the middle of a Cafe for a friend's bday and got the phone too late!

I too am wondering how you are and life. ... I shall be in north of Chigago next weekend, and this weekend with Sara and Darryl for their Rockstar Party!
