I've turned into a lurker! I've been reading everyone's journal for the past few months, promise... just haven't really been up to writing
( Read more... )
I think my table dancing days are long past though I can watch table dancing :p Not sure music wise off the top of my brain I do have the The Rolling Stone Magazines 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time 2.81GB of music I can send you the list of what they said was good - lol and see if any of it works for you.
...you got my email on that subject, right? I also just discovered I have two different sets of jazz cd's...if you want, I can rip them and fileshare them for you, or just bring them on the weekend of the wedding.
Classic 80's music always works for most crowds, especially this crowd. I can make you a retro 70's, 80's cd if you like that would likely bring the house down. And do you need equipment as well or do you already have audio equipment?
My mix so far has a good deal of 70s and 80s classics :) But I'm still adding. I'm gonna talk with you when I see you next week (at my shower?) about the possibilities of an appearance from DJ Goulet on the Saturday night. Are you iPod knowlegdeable? My father's apparently rented me an "ipod compatible" audio system for the event, but lord only knows what that actually means. So, I'm making some huge playlists, and just need to press play every so often... and pause for needed breaks... (need someone to run it when we're setting up the "first dance" and stuff like that... to get the party going)
I did get the metal chopsticks!! :) I use them all the time, and really, they're my most favourite pair. I've been reading your journal and keeping up to date, but haven't been posting much (as you can see)... I've been extremely busy, and now I'm working fulltime so not getting to the time to do a lot of the stuff I used to do. I've turned into a lurker it seems... but I'm hoping to change that once my schedule flattens out to something a little more predictable over the next couple of weeks.
Thank you again for the chopsticks.. and you sent a CD too, right? :) They're absolutely wonderful.

Those types of songs will get the ladies on the floor!

If you'd like to bring along the cds, that could be cool and always welcome.
