Preparing for the worst

Since I had a decent week financially at work (finally) and since we've already had a few 30 degree nights here in New England and it's not even November yet, (I think it may have even snowed the other morning but I'm pretending that it didn't) I jumped the gun and went on Zappos and bought a pair of winter boots. You should also use that spray to waterproof your other shoes. I just bought a pair of cute faux suede boots (more fashionable and not stomping through snow boots) and I sprayed them with waterproof and stain resistant spray. And the spray seems to work cuz I was just outside in the pouring rain and my feet didn't get wet.

those boots are cute! they look very sturdy, too. this weather had turned my thoughts to footwear as well (although it doesn't take much). I got my La Canadienne on super-sale -- they've been great but I definitely would not have shelled out $300 for them.

I need boots, too, thanks for the reminder. I also need gloves for riding my bike. This weekend was ridiculous without them.

i always find la canadiennes at siierra trading company for under $100. they are pretty blah, stylwise, but they are worth it in bad weather.
