This is the fic that never ends...
It just goes on and on... I'll shut up now. Fairly short bit, though.
"He is Seeker-kin!" Skywarp hissed at Starscream, wings twitching.
"'Warp, are you sure?" Starscream answered patiently. He didn't seem to particularly doubt the younger Seeker's words, but Mirage wasn't watching too carefully, too dizzy from onlining after his first overload to really be able to pay attention.
Glancing down, Skywarp seemed surprised when he realized Mirage was awake, stroking the Autobot's face and cooing softly. He answered Starscream, though, "Yes, I'm sure. It's right there in his spark. Not enough for wings, but it's mighty close."
"That makes sense, really," Thundercraker commented, coming out of the attached room the younglings shared. He held Shockwave in his arm, and Ratbat was perched on top of a shoulder vent, and Mirage had to resist the urge to give his own coo. It was surprisingly cute... at least he could be sure his winglets would be raised well! He was surprised when Laserbeak and Buzzsaw cawed and flew over to Skywarp. They hesitated a moment, but ultimately landed on him.
Squeaking a little, Mirage had one arm stroking the nearest cassette before he realized what he was doing. It was too much! He belonged to the Seekers, and by extension to Soundwave... That didn't mean he should pet the cassettes! But if no-one objected...
Stroking Ravage, Soundwave seemed supremely unbothered by anything, as was normal. "Postulation: Other Autobots also Seeker-kin."
"Humm..." Starscream seemed unconvinced, looking around a little. All three Seekers' wings were twitching, almost seeming to flutter at times, and finally Starscream shook his head a little. "Maybe a few, but I think most wouldn't have as much coding. It wouldn't surprise me if ablities and coding go hand in hand, which makes you, my dear 'Wave, an anomaly, but most Autobots are... far too stable. Though I find myself wondering about the Stunticons now... Anyway, does this really change anything?"
"Skywarp carrying," Soundwave said, and it seemed to be an answer of some form. Starscream grinned, though it became strained a moment later. "Mirage also carrying."
