But I still made you wait! Mwahahah! >.> I think there's a part missing between my last part and this one, but oh well. It will get written, or not. In the meantime...
Finally finding a bit of quiet time was not easy, and so Soundwave was preparing to enjoy it fully. He had a cube of refined high-grade, a data-pad with one of his favorite operas, and all his cassettes were busy with his mate and the Autobot and the new winglets-slash-cassettes. Soundwave was happy.
"...Creator...?" Of course, this state couldn't be allowed to last. Restraining his huff, Soundwave put the opera aside and looked up at Rumble, who seemed unusually troubled.
"What is it?"
It wasn't Rumble who answered, but Frenzy, pushing his blue brother into the room yet endeavoring to remain hidden. "We was wonderin'... Um..."
"Rumble, Frenzy, state your question clearly," Soundwave said, patting his lap a little. The twins almost fell over themselves to climb into his lap, and the telepath wasn't really surprised when the fliers came in as well, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw settling on his shoulders and Ratbat laying on his head, wing-arms clutched around Soundwave's helmet. A warm rumbling weight at his feet was enough for Soundwave to know that they were all there, and he waited for his twins' answer.
"Well, it's like this," Rumble started, looking everywhere but Soundwave's face.
"Were we sparked like that?" Frenzy added.
"Because the way those two newsparks squawked, well, seemed like it felt good," Rumble continued.
"But we're pretty sure one of us would remember that," Frenzy ended with a firm nod.
Soundwave relaxed just the least bit. That wasn't bad, they weren't asking about their co-creators, at least... "Negative. Soundwave in possession of own override codes," he informed his gathered sparklings and younglings. Not that he was likely to ever use them again, the Seekers seemed to pity him for sparking without the arousal, and... Soundwave did have to admit that it looked rather fun.
"Oh." It was impossible to tell if Rumble was disappointed or not as he snuggled against Soundwave. "Well... Maybe it's just as well. We don't want to be all flighty like all the Seekers are."
"And we can save the more embarrassing questions for later. Don't think we didn't catch your thought there, Creator!" Frenzy added.
Soundwave just gave an embarrassed grin, even though it couldn't be seen. He should have known better than to make them all telepaths!
Oooh, yes. Soundwave, you silly, silly mech.
