So after a long while of doing nothing, I picked up a job starting in May. I am a bit conflicted about it for a few different reasons, first I have not worked for about a year now. Technically I was still with the IRS until January, but really I have been on furlough/unemployed for a while now, and I kinda liked it. Now I have to get back to a work

The IT job market here really is in good shape. If you remember, I had heard the statistic about there being less than 1% unemployment among IT workers here from two different people. Also, if you remember, I expected it would take me six months to find a job and we would have been moving here next month. I was shocked at how quickly I got a job, too!
The different shifts bit will suck. We will make it work because it is a short term thing. At the end of it, you'll have three months of IT experience, which is worth the short term pain of not getting to spend as much time with each other. On the bright side, the kitties won't be left alone all day long. ;)
