That's really funny because my sister is sitting right next to me and we have been on the National Geographic website because she wants to write for them :)
I tried waxing once with a friend and besides hurting like hell it made my skin red and bumpy. I have really sensitive skin though, and I'm sure it would make a difference to get it done professionally.
Also, you've never had Indian food? My favorite is still Krishna, a little hole in the wall place on Calhoun by UC. My favorite is chicken makhani at a 2 (out of 5 spiciness, and I like spicy). Make sure to try some naan (bread) and vegetable samosas too.
I guess I just assumed the DIY kits didn't even work, because I remember someone telling me they tried that seen-on-tv Nad's gunk and it didn't do anything for them. In the summer I would like to get my legs waxed if it means not having to shave every single day!
I went to the Hindu Temple of Cincinnati once with Derek for his World's Religion class and we were allowed to attend this pot-luck in the basement but I had no idea what anything was and am not a big fan of curry. I know where Krishna is but I've never gone in for some reason... I will definitely have to try it. I used to eat at that Thai Express up there about once a week, though.
