Happy Office day, everyone!

And it's super-sized, if you hadn't heard.

JIM!!!!

Newsday says this about tonight's episode:

Grade/overview: A+. One of the best "Offices" ever. Instant classic. Brilliant. Enough said. Now, if only people will just start watching. What, people aren't watching? I thought NBC considered it a decent-sized hit ( Read more... )

It's my first official night of Office watching! J is home and we're going to watch to see if he likes, then backtrack if he does!

!!!

I have no idea why this makes me excited.

When you say "official" do you mean this will be the first time you've seen the show? Or just the first time you're watching "live"?

This is kind of a "Very Special Episode" but it may not seem that way to a new viewer.

Oh, that *is* exciting!

I'm not sure how this episode will play for a new viewer, but if you like it and want to get caught up, I'm happy to loan out my DVDs.

What, people aren't watching?

It was coming in third behind "Ugly Betty" and "Survivor"...until last week, when it won its time period among A18-34. First time this season. :) It's still third among HHs and (I believe) A18-49, but winning the younger demo is no small feat. :p

This may be the year where the show's viewers finally match its press. :)

Wow, I had no idea it was coming in third in HHs. Huh.

I thought I read something about it being very high among young "affluent" viewers and thus, attracted the advertisers? I thought that made NBC happy(ish) even though the raw numbers weren't so big.

Anyway, I hope you're right and this is the year it gains more viewers. But what do I know, I'm always in love with the low-rated critical darlings, so the fact that I love it is probably the kiss of death. :(

Why, why, why is it that every show I love, no one watches? You so stupid, America.
