That Bond movie looks good

Okay, so normally I don't watch commercials because I have TiVo, and that's sort of one of the advantages of having TiVo.

But as I was FFing through stuff, I noticed some ads for holiday movies and stopped to watch.

Oh, this Deck the Halls looks bad. Matthew Broderick, do you need the money that badly? And you're married to Kristin Davis, ( Read more... )

I'm totally over the fact that the gorgeous women, often way younger, are paired with all sorts of physically average men. It happens, but not the excessive way Hollywood presents it. It would be nice to see the other side of the coin, though I think most couples in RL are roughly comprable attraction wise.

I never see movies in theatres unless they're big , like LOTR or Harry Potter. I'm kind of excited about Eragon, but I haven't heard any buzz. I just like epic-y, fantasy stuff on big screens.

I'm embarrassed to say I don't even what what "Eragon" is. I'm so out of touch.

I liked the new Bond movie. Of course, I had low expectations going in, so I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of action, poker, and some interesting background on James Bond.

"Low expectations" is my motto when it comes to movies lately. But everybody seems to like the new Bond movie. Even Richard Roeper, who usually hates everything. He loves Daniel Craig, but he complained about the poker scenes going on too long, though. That was his big criticism.

I really want to see the new Bond movie! And Stranger Than Fiction. And I'm almost salivating for The Fountain.

Stranger than Fiction does look good, so I will add that to my list of possibles. Is The Fountain getting good buzz and/or reviews? I haven't read anything about it yet. Is that Darren Aronofsky?

Yes, it's Aronofsky. I don't know if it actually has good buzz or not. But it's Aronofksy with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. It should be great.

I'm really wanting to see For Your Consideration, but then I'm a big fan of Christopher Guest. I also heard that Stranger Than Fiction and the new Bond are really good, so I'll be looking forward to those too!
