You're as beautiful as the Queen of England.

So The Office was on last night.

Michael was a jerk, Pam and Jim pined for each other, and Dwight was weird and funny. And none of these things are spoilers, because they apply to every single episode. But for the people who don't want to read about how Michael was a jerk, I offer a cut tag.

There are too many people in this world. I wish there was another plague. )

30 rock, the office

I don't remember the last time I hated Michael that much. Ugh.
Me neither. Gah.

But it's so real and believable. Timing is everything, isn't it? I think that's true.
Yeah, I love it. Some people are tired of it, but I think they're doing an amazing job with the love rhombus.

People are tired of it? I don't get that. That's half the show right there, the ongoing saga of Pam and Jim. And ongoing it will be, for quite some time.

Imho, that's like saying you're tired of Michael being such a jerk. Uh, hello, welcome to The Office.

Heh, my friend came over last night to re-watch it while I watched it for the first time (marry me, Tivo!), and he just said, "I'm gonna warn you, Michael is at the height of making things uncomfortable tonight. Even during the commercial breaks I was uneasy." And how.

I'm never around and barely have time to comment now, but I just wanted to say that I agree re: the quadrangle. I don't feel much sympathy for Pam, in that she's in a misery of her own making and I know all too well the kind of suffering that goes with those consequences, but I do feel bad for the situation and I do think that it is incredibly realistic and moreso than any relationships you normally see on tv.

Hey! We missed you last week, or whenever it was, when we went to that thing that night. ;)

If you have any interest in watching Duke play Md on Sunday, e-mail me. A group of us are probably going to Fox Sports Grill or maybe Jocks and Jills, not sure yet.

I know, i really wanted to go! But in addition to my mom being in town, I was also sick. Bleh. I'm still sick. It sucks. I actually fell down one day and landed on my iron. Not good.

Anyway, I will let you know. I'd love to watch a game with Dukies. I might havet o work though. I am still waiting to hear when our assignment time begins.

Maybe they thought he was becoming too likable after the Christmas special and so they are trying to go back in the other direction. Because I was starting to like him more and now I'm back to being horrified by his mere existence.

Oh, the pain.

Seriously. It's such a fucked up situation because NO ONE is happy. Except maybe Roy for a brief instant while Pam lets him hold her hand. But I don't think even Karen is happy because she knows on some level that Jim doesn't really care.

True, but for both Pam and Jim, it's really of their own making. Why hasn't Jim asked Pam point blank why she called off the wedding? Why didn't Pam make any effort to contact Jim after she called off the wedding?

I can understand it, but it's frustrating because they could be happy if they just took a chance. I don't really blame Jim so much because he DID put himself out there to let Pam knows how he feels, and look where that got him. The blame is squarely on Pam's shoulders for not making some overture to call Jim and reconnect with him when he was in Stamford. I guess I'm just so much more assertive than she is, so it's frustrating for me to watch her sometimes. I could never be so passive.

You'd think that Jim would have taken Pam calling off the wedding as some sort of sign that she was interested, and maybe tried again ( ... )

And I enjoyed your book thoroughly and will leave good comments on Amazon. :)

I agree. I do understand Pam, but it's frustrating to watch her, when happiness is right there in front of her. If she would only take a tiny step.

Calling off the wedding was indeed HUGE and would be huge for anyone. That's sort of what I don't get -- how can something that big happen and yet Pam and Jim have never discussed it, not once? I just can't believe it's never come up when other people have no problem reminding Pam of it all the time.
