Drama much?

Okay, people falling down to their knees crying because Obama has been elected?

Not necessary and highly annoying.

Don't get me wrong. I voted for him. I'm happy. But the tears aren't necessary.

Stop the dramatics for the cameras.

Edit: What I like ( Read more... )

Maybe it's just me. I very rarely get emotional (aside from getting angry... I'm good at that). I think it's great he got elected, but I don't think I'm so happy I could cry.

I'll wait until we see how he does as President. If he can bring about the changes this country needs, then maybe I'll cry.

What annoyed me about the people on TV last night is that it was an obvious ploy to get the cameras to focus on them... Like yelling, "OH MY GOD!", sobbing hysterically and falling to their knees praising the Lord.

Yeah, there were no cameras in my house. I always cry though. I cry almost every day because I'm sad or happy or over a movie or a comic or a TV show.

I'm the opposite of that. I very rarely cry at movies, etc. The exception that never fails to make me cry is Schindler's List. Liam Neeson crying at the end makes me want to cry every single time.

I actually enjoyed McCain's speech more than I did Obama's. I thought McCain was very awesome in how he lost. Overzealous fans of either side annoy the crap out of me.

Yeah, same here. He was a very gracious loser, and handled it with a lot of class. He just made a lot of mistakes along the campaign trail (Sarah Palin being the biggest) and unfortunately had the stigma associated with George Bush stuck on him. Had he gotten the Republican nomination instead of George Bush years ago, I would have voted for him.

When John Kerry considered having him for a vice presidential candidate, I thought it was super smart to have a conservative Democrat and conservative Republican running together... but then he didn't pick McCain. He would have won had he picked McCain to run with him.

Yeah, same here. I made the mistake of looking at Mich's (nesmith) journal, and that's what triggered the thought. And that just reminded me why I took her off my friends list.
