Running on Fumes

I had forgotten how long the once a night wake up for some food luvins can drag on. I am dragging ass each morning, feeling like I'm swimming through water. Right now I'm sipping my huge ass mug of coffee the one I got with mixed feelings. One thrilled cos it's a huge ceramic handmade lookin affair that holds like three regular cups of coffee in it ( Read more... )

Well... Girltwin started pre-school two weeks ago and is doing great. Boytwin started this week, went two days, and is not going back again this month. :( He's just not ready. He is still messing in his pants. He pees just fine, but the other... ew. We've tried everything from bribes and extra daddy time, to spankings and no dinner. No effect whatsoever. It's like he enjoys the feeling or something. Gah.

Hunter was like that as well..it was for us, a combination of consistency, reminding him every hour on the hour, rewarding his good behavior and taking away privileges when he messed up..

It still took time..just..time..*groans* I'm hoping Gabe will be easier, he seems to loath being messy where Hunter did not..however I have always heard that boys were harder to train than girls!

Sounds taxing, dear. I'll send some good vibes your way. If you manage to find the time/cash to spare, you may also want to try visiting a sleep clinic. Quality of life tends to plummet when you're not getting enough rest, but also whenthe rest itself isn't good enough.

Take care.

I'll keep that in mind hon. I'm sorry I've been absent via our normal convo's about politics I am just very deep in it right now.

However I am watching Rachel Maddow and Keith Olberman and getting points to jab in your face for your devil's advocate roles.

How did the date go?

If I were a coffee drinker, I'd buy myself a #1 Mom mug. And I don't care if you bought it for yourself... I think you're a great mom and so it fits!

I don't drink coffee (or caffeinated sodas or teas)... so when the baby wakes in the middle of the night, I have nothing to help get me going in the morning aside from sheer will. It's tough.

And I had a big mommy-fail moment this morning. The 'rrhoids hurt really bad this morning. Baby was tired and I convinced myself that if she could take a nap, I could pop some pain pills and grab a hot shower and feel much better. And as tired as she was, of course she was fighting taking a nap. And the more she fought, the more upset I got (frustrated and in pain). At one point, I'm ashamed to say I yelled at her, a loud "No! Stop it!". And then I caught myself, took a deep breath, sang to her for a bit and 15 minutes later she conked out for a 15 minute nap. The guilt remains... *sigh*

They'll probably toss some antibiotic at Gabe, since it seemed to be the favorite method when Alex would catch the latest Daycare Bug. Hugs for the baby, though.

And yes. Battlestar. It's...my mind is blown, man. I never thought I could ever get into any show enough to spew my opinions on it to the casual listener before. What can I say? It's love.

Love you dear!

I don't even know how to give a 2 month old baby some antibotic..blech..Hunter went 4 and a half years before he had some..it seems so silly to be proud of that fact but I am.

OMG. BSG. WTF.

I am up to date on it and holy mother of..of...Kara -has- to be something else..I was -so- sure she was the fifth when she found the freaking thing in the field with the crazy Lebowhatever..but the fifth is HER!? REALLY!? It explains why Deana didn't ask for all five.

and Gaeta! BAD BAD BAD BAD GAETA!!

*TWITCH* Saul and Adama this week..right? no..it can't be..not after Adama and Laura..and *TWITCHFLAIL*

the worst however..was Dee.

Yes to all except the bit about Dee. Mind you, Dee was a shock to me and very tragic, but it's nothing compared to what Callie's death did to me.
I still can't watch that episode.
I'm SO hooked on this series, and no one at work gets it. ARGH that's hard. And something I LOVE LOVE LOVE about the series is that all the choices MAKE SENSE. Even if we don't LIKE what they're doing, it makes sense for things to happen that way.

Antibiotic for a baby isn't bad: eyedropper of liquid in the mouth. Give 'em a chance: Alex used to just suck on the dropper, so even now if I bring some vitamins or his allergy meds, he opens up and sucks the dropper for me.

Callie was hard..especially her watching Nicky and then finding out that about his real Dad? *sighs* that was a real kick to the head.

I love how this show faced real issues, food..water..abortion..all of those things added layer after layer. I loved how this show wasn't about space but used space as the back drop

and they didn't give him anything for the nose *sighs* I am sooo close to dropping him some medicine of my own.
