In the movie, Vito Corleone was shot five times and survived. My own Vito Corleone, though of the feline persuasion, is just about as resilient. He survived a happy, chubby kitten, when every other kitten in the litter mysteriously took ill and died. I wish I knew enough Godfather to add more analogy, but I'm lost. I just can't think of any possible way to intregrate horse heads into a 'Get Well, Vito' comment.

Vito does appreciate your well-wishes, even without a movie analogy. We do expect you to know it better in the future, however (i.e. only one horse head in the film). Haha.

You could always get a new Vito Corleone, and dub him to be the young Vito played by Robert DeNiro in Godfather II. It wouldn't yet have the wisdom of the Don but would be younger and more attractive.

Plus, if you get a new cat and it's just not as good as Vito, you can always change its name to Santino(Sonny). Or, if it's a really bad cat, call it Fredo.

Call the bad cat Fredo? No way. He may have broken Michael's heart but he has a special place in mine. When he yells, "I'm smart! Not like everyone says!" I just feel so bad for him.
In fact, I've been looking for the feline Fredo for a while. I just can't find one strange enough ...

omg! i am so utterly sorry for mr. corleone! my gosh!! how long does the poor guy have, did they tell you? give him my best and a big big hug. and could you email me a pic of him? i'd like to have one. and while you're at it, if you have a scanner or anything, i'd love a copy of c.j's "chow down" masterpiece. :)

i hope you're doing okay. just enjoy vito's company while you can. i'm so sorry he's ill.

we had a moment of discussion about vito yesteday. it was the first i'd heard of his illness. from a dexter lover to a cat lover, i am terribly sorry.
