Okay, I totally wasn't expecting the reincarnation bit, even though it was mentioned in the summary (I have a two second memory) and even though I would have liked it if it was just modern versions of Merlin/Arthur with no reincarnation (does that make sense?) the whole Merlin and Arthur remembering and Merlin pulling one on Arthur just cranked it up to eleven. And the way you showed that Arthur remembered. Just all around awesome.

I'm glad it worked anyway :D I like normal modern ones as well, but the bit that sucked me on this one was the 'reincarnation' mention, because I just loved the idea of Arthur with his epic crush and Merlin knowing who he is from the start and taking complete advantage (if only for maximum embarrassment potential later).

Hah! I was rereading it and I realized at this part

that Merlin was going to say "Or do I just ask for Arthur?" Or at least that's what I think he'd say. And then where he goes from there just makes it all the more brilliant. I have no idea why that tickles me so much, but it does.

Yes he was! He was going to be funny and do the whole "right, so I just walk in and ask for Arthur do I? And they'll magically know who I mean?" But Arthur's cluelessness put a stop so that - so Team Jacob it was ;)
