That was a great chapter and well worth he wait. I do like the fact John does realized that he hasn't reacted in the best of ways to Dean. I look forward to seeing how John does have that talk with Dean

Thank you so much. You made my night. Normally I write John as a complete jackass and I intended to let him stay that way here...until I decided that someone needed to ream him out. Which is why I had Chris react the way he did. And for this chapter, I thought it would make the most sense if Bobby explained, seeing as both he and John lost their wives and could relate the most. Now that Bobby has set him straight, there will definately be some very unJohnlike apologizing in the future. ;)

:) I'm very proud of Bobby and Chris. I thought Dean needed an older brother like figure and couldn't picture anyone more perfect for the job than Chris. I did make him a lot older than Dean (than he is in real life) because I thought it would work out the best that way. And you'll be finding out in one of the next two chapters just exactly who Steve was to Melissa and how he met Chris. Their stories were changed a lot in this story, which is why I changed them to omcs, but they're still based on their real life counterparts.

As for John...I see some groveling in his future. And I already have the scene with Alex meeting John for the first time in mind. I hope it doesn't disappoint. I'll try to get the next chapter up for you guys before too long.

This story is just breaking my heart! I found your tics through a rec for a story someone was looking for (not this one...it was Through The Glass) and when I was looking for the next chapter in that story I found this one.

I am so glad that Bobby set John straight! He can talk to John and get through to him all the while holding him accountable! I am a huge Bobby fan and love that he was there for Dean and his family! Love Chris and him being there for Dean and him standing up to John!
