Hey hey,

I know this is probably a dangerous question but what do you think is the worst swear word I could get away with in a fic?

Ps this is not an excuse for you to hurl abuse at me, I know you lot, I'm looking at you here

That would depend on the rating of the fic, I suppose...or if you really wanted to get away with murder, you could swear in another language?

Bitch is pretty standard, though :P

I hate that word too, never really heard it used till I met Mr M's friend who has mild Tourettes and says it ALL the time, its kind of funny and horrificaly embarrassing at the same time.

Oh and how did I know it would be you who came up with the worst word! LOL

Interesting question - depends on lots of things. Site rules, rating, context, character. Who's swearing, why, and on what site?

(On ensnaringsnape, there are no restrictions, so they can say what they like there, btw).

Oh, was just looking at Restricted Section and my guess is that they only upload new fics once a month - they haven't put anything new up in ages.

Its for possibly the last ep. of my Snape/Rose (not weasley) fic. think I'll stick with the f word and less.

Lol at Rose (not Weasley). You should have called her Rose Notweasley and seen what the mods made of that.

I don't think I've ever seen mother used in front of the f-word, so you probably couldn't get away with that. Unfortunately, all the terms I learned when I worked in the office where my window looked out on the courtyard where the infantry had their formations go steeply downhill from that point so you would never get away with any of them.

The f-word is probably the limit they will let you go. How about the acronyms like SNAFU, FUBB, and FUBAR? I always enjoyed using them and they were very useful around my grandparents and their friends when nothing but a swear word would do.

We are supposed to come up with swear words that one "can" use? I've seen most of the normal ones used. Are you looking for others?

How about c*ck-s*cking mother-f**ker? That has a nice ring to it. It gets a lot of mileage in a small space. I personally use swear words rather sparingly, so they have more impact when I do use them. Sometimes, though, nothing else is as good as a nice "F**k!"
