Buuuut. The first time I met the guy I love, he gave my best friend (his aunt actually) the shirt off his back. She commented how much she liked his sweatshirt and he just gave it to her. That's when I decided he was v. sweet and I'd definately like to see him again.
I just started to fall in love with him and then we had the opprotunity to spend the weekend together at my best friend's trailer and we were sitting on a swing and we'd been talking for hours. But then conversation just sort of lapsed and there was nothing awkward about sitting and saying nothing. It was very comfortable and peaceful. That's when I started to realize I was falling in love with him.
He doesn't do anything romantic just yet because we're still in the starting to date stage
I got out of my best friend's car (technically it was his girlfriend's), sat down on the stump in the front yard of the house I was renting off-campus and waved goodbye as he drove up the street on the last day of class.
Three years later, he told me that was the moment he knew he'd fallen in love with me. And I said, "funny you should mention that..."
One day D and I were driving in his car and he put in a cd of Saturday morning cartoon songs, covered by various bands. Eep Op Ork Ah-Ah came on, and he started singing it to me. Not just singing it for the hell of it, but to me. It was then that I knew that I loved him. It completely snuck up on me; in my head I told myself that I loved him, not just liked him
