This is the only thing that has made me smile all day. Made me grin like a shit eating possum, actually....
I LOVE the take on Rose and Scorpius first of all. I love it that he's a farking Ravenclaw prefect!! I love it that Draco is still a stupid pain in the ass!!!! I love the fact that Ron calls her Rosie. I ADORED the way she blurted the butterbeer story to Verthandi (AWESOME name!)....soooo like a typical teenager.
I eagerly and with frothy, foamy lips await the next installment.

I love this. I love their characterizations. It doesn't feel fake... combined with Ron's, George's and Draco's spot-on characterizations, Rose and Scorpius feel real. This is such a great beginning!! I didn't expect Ron and Draco (I keep wanting to type "Malfoy"...) to start arguing and threatening each other, but it was brilliant. Ooooh, the angst! This is what makes Scorpius/Rose such a wonderfully compelling, ship post-HP ship.
Scorpius, who had been peering through the glassed-in door, had to step back suddenly as it opened and a gang of boys he recognized from school exited, their arms laden with purchases. Several of them called out greetings to him before they burst into a gallop down the street, laughing boisterously. With a strange sense of longing Scorpius found himself leaning forward, trying to spot a certain wild-haired girl whom he had on good authority was supposed to be inside before the door swung shut, but was thwarted. He sighed with disappointment.Was he longing for friends or ( ... )
