This is wonderful! I love Rose, she reminds me of my sister.

I love Rose, she reminds me of my sister. Is this the lesbian sister who likes Orlando Bloom? ;-)
I'm really glad you gave this a try! I know next-gen's kind of iffy, so I appreciate your willingness to read this. I hope you continue to enjoy it. :-)

Really good Mags! I like the conniving wives angle, trying to blunt their husband's years of prejudice.

Thanks for my "birthday present". I really enjoyed this installment. Oh, those awkward teenaged years, and parents just making it more awkward!
I know it's not the focus of the story, but I did like that you had Al in Slytherin. It was a nice touch, and I can totally see Al thinking about the talk with his dad, and making up his mind that he could help prove Slytherin wasn't so bad.
I also love your Scorpius. How geeky is he, studying physics on the sly!
Huzzah for you! And for us, because we get to read it! =D

Anyway, I'm really glad you liked Grazia. It was a bit risky making her so likable, but I think Draco needed redeeming. Besides, she's definitely a force to be reckoned with.

It's definitely hard to create a believable OC, but we know so little about the new generation that there's more room to play in. Plus, your explanations of why Draco and Grazia fit well together make sense. I love that she's Italian. I wonder if she cooks and throws salt over her shoulder... XP

:-P Hey, c'mon, I've already got her into art, can't subject her to too many cultural clichés (besides, she's got house-elves to do the cooking for her). Actually, I picked Italian because 1. I've seen a lot of post-DH fics that have Draco's wife as either French or from northern Europe (going for the Nordic look); and 2. I wanted to give her a family tree that's nearly 3 times as old as Draco's, which I think would be just the sort of think a disgraced Lucius Malfoy would desperately want for his son.

Grazia and Scorpius visiting WWW should be interesting! :)

It has become a very popular trope, hasn't it? The premise I'm working with is that Draco left England soon after the war to get away from the cloud of disgrace hanging over his family as a result of their part in it and didn't return for a decade or so (Scorpius was born abroad as well). A foreign-born witch would not have been prejudiced against Draco or his family from the outset the way a British witch would. In choosing an Italian wife, I was able to give her a backstory in which her family is much, much older than his, thus restoring some luster and prestige to the Malfoy family tree. In addition, as a result of his travels, he works in the import-export business.
I'm so glad you read and enjoyed this! I really appreciate your reviews. :-)
