You certainly love to tease, don't you. You're probably very bored of reading this, but your Rose is the perfect blend of both Ron and Hermione.

...Um, having no friends is a bad thing? Then again, I guess Scorpius is far too extreme.

Here I thought Albus would never enter the story. And James. Oh, I can't wait the next chapter. Poor Scorpius, having to deal with James and Ron at the same time.

I'm not trying to tease, really. I have a (bad) habit of rushing through to the end (or to the "good stuff" at least), but I've been trying to take my time with this and let things unfold naturally. I promise I won't be stringing you along much longer.

I'm very flattered by your comments about Rose. She is very much a product of both her parents, both the good and the not-so-good, which makes her such a wonderfully dynamic character to work with.

May I schedule a Parent/Teacher conference with Harry and Ginny regarding James's behavior? Grrrrr.

*sigh* resigned to wait for the next chapter as you peck away in between school assignments.

Hee. Don't be too hard of Harry and Ginny. They're like many parents, oblivious to the possibility that their first-born isn't all daisies and sunshine (and James is adept at fooling them). Harry's about to get a rude awakening though, as is James.

Won't be too long before an update, I hope. :-)

You know, you've done such a wonderful job of humanizing everyone here-and making their positions very believable (even Draco, who I still have no use for)-that I was beginning to think that you might be falling into that eternal trap for good writers: a wide perspective draining any tension from the plot.

Thank goodness James is a jerk! XD

I love Rose and Scorpius here; her reaction to his childhood, and his defense of it, are so perfectly in character, and the way in which they kept near-missing real intimacy was just lovely. And of course I kept wishing one of them (or their mothers) would just cast a Confundus on Ron. Or a Stunner. ;-)

And, of course, James is a wonderful jerk. :-D

I get what you're saying. I find it very difficult to write about characters I find repugnant, which should give you some idea of what a challenge it's been to write Draco as even remotely sympathetic. Unfortunately, there needed to be some conflict for Rose and Scorpius to overcome, and Ron and Draco seemed too obvious, so James drew the short straw. :-) Seriously, though, I sympathize with him too, as I imagine it could be difficult to be the first-born of The Boy Who Lived.

Thanks so much for another wonderfully thought-provoking review.

Oh, I don't believe for a moment that you didn't see the humanity in James. You're too good a writer ( ... )

Well, James is, in some respects, another Harry, he just doesn't reflect his father's better qualities. :-) Thanks for reviewing! Another chapter shouldn't be too long in coming, I hope.

omg, i found your fic through scorpius_rose and i've read all chapters in one sitting. i was praying this wouldn't be the last chapter. the story's BRILLIANTLY written and i simply can't get over ocd!scorpius [erm, possibly b/c we have the same habits] and how geekily adorable he is. draco/grazia is quite wonderful to read as well.

and your characterisations of rose and the weasley-grangers are quite marvelous as well ;) why is james such a snot? i hope he'll get his comeuppance soon..

please update asap! and keep up the great work :D
